Not only does Artist Vs Poet have a catchy pop sound, but their now former singer, Tarcy Thomason sounds adorable as he sings. He has a wonderful a voice.
The whole album is great, but I absolutely have to say my favorite is “Damn Rough Night”, its just a catchy fun tune about a one night stand after turning twenty-one. You sort of have to love it.
Its not all catchy and fun though, they do have one song on the album that isn’t all fun and perky. “Miserably Loving You” is about loving someone you shouldn’t, and knowing that fact. “Emily please, there’s nothing wrong with the way I light up when you’re around. Do anything you want, but don’t bring me
down. Emily come on, this was going somewhere, I won’t let go of what we had. ‘Cause I’m a broken recording that keeps on skipping back.” I feel everyone’s felt like they wanted someone back before, no matter how terrible they were to you, so this song is perfect.
Every song is great, and I love their energy. Because of that, I give this album five stars.
All reviews have the date they were written, the album title, and the band's name, with the exception of Life Starts Now by Three Days Grace and Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin. Those dates were guessed at, as they were written well before the website began.
