A Love Like Pi is an electrica rock band from New York City, and they recently released an EP called Jack And The Giant.
A Love Like Pi may hail from New York, but their music is out of this world. Most tracks have a sort of 'sci-fi' feel to them, and that makes them stand out.
The whole EP is very interesting, but the stand out tracks are "Cats" and the EP's title track, Jack And The Giant.
"Cats", just by name is sure to grab the attention of many, but it also is one of those songs that you can definitely picture being played in a movie. There's not a ton to it, but that's what makes it cool, and frankly, it needs its own music video. Put a really good story to go with it, and there you go -you have a great video! Plus, a lyric stood out in it! Which was, "Take my sleep, but don't take my dreaming." That was just beautiful.
"Jack And The Giant" is...interesting. it starts off a bit like a lullaby, and at first seems like its going to be quite inspiring. It is, in a way all of its own. "My little adventurer, it seems you've lost your way -its okay." That line alone could remind people that its alright to get a bit lost and confused sometimes. In times like that, its okay to just admit you need the help and accept it. We all do sometimes.
Over all, its a very good EP and if anyone is into electronic music, they will more than likely enjoy this EP.
Be sure to check out A Love Like Pi and remember that you can get their EP now on iTunes.
All reviews have the date they were written, the album title, and the band's name, with the exception of Life Starts Now by Three Days Grace and Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin. Those dates were guessed at, as they were written well before the website began.
