Hard Rock band, Red Sun Rising released their second full length album, Polyester Zeal on August 5, 2015. The album peaked at 41 on the US Billboard Rock Albums, and they released the lead single, "The Otherside" two days after the album's release.
We can definitely see why they chose "The Otherside" as a single, because it is incredibly beautiful. Its sad, but very well done. They're looking back at things as they're falling apart and questioning why it happened. But slowly you start to work out the grief of a lost love and start feeling sane again. We're not describing it well, but you can hear the emotion in his voice and we recommend you listen to it for yourself. Speaking of the singer, he has a very unique voice that we really enjoy. He portrays each song, with each different meaning completely different. Some are quite catchy and upbeat, while others are a bit more melodic and heartfelt. Such as, "Emotionless", which would be the perfect song to send to someone when they're feeling down and like they don't matter. Whenever someone feels that way, there's generally someone who's just trying to make that person see how they see them. This song portrays that beautifully. Then there's songs like, "Amnesia", which seems to be about living in the moment. "Life should be touched, not choked to death." Sometimes you just need to live in the moment, and enjoy what's currently there. This album is beautiful and we highly recommend it. You can get it wherever music is sold and you can catch Red Sun Rising live at the 98 Rockfest, Welcome To Rockville, Fort Rock, Carolina Rebellion, and Rock On The Range coming up this May!
