The Used have been making incredible music since 2001, and while this album is much anticipated, I feel as if its all been done before. By them.
Before I even heard the songs, I felt that way. Some of the titles are highly similar even. "Kiss It Goodbye" reminded me of "Kissing You Goodbye", and many of the songs sounded overly familar. I feel like the lyrics were the only thing that changed.
You can tell they worked hard on this album,a nd I have a feeling Bert had gone through hell with someone close to him. Its obvious with songsl ike, "Moving On", "Getting Over You', and "Hurt No More."
I ddin't actually have a favorite, as no track really stood out to me. You can tell they had a lot of inspirtation, but I just didn't care for their final outcome. I give this album, three stars. For effort, mostly.
All reviews have the date they were written, the album title, and the band's name, with the exception of Life Starts Now by Three Days Grace and Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin. Those dates were guessed at, as they were written well before the website began.
