Many of you have already gone to Warped tour in the past, or this year, but many have not and are going to this year. I've been advised by someone who went to Warped tour for two years in a row now, how to survive. I figured it only made sense for me to share it with you guys, as I know many of you are planning on going to the 2012 Vans Warped tour, and it can get quite dangerous out there.
Get a backpack. Preferably one of those see through ones you get a small child because you think they look cool. They're inexpensive at Walmart, and since its see through the security guards won't have to go through your bag when you get to the venue. Make sure to put your wallet where you can get to it, but it's unseen by everyone else. You'll need the following supplies to properly survive Warped tour. -Water! This is a must! You will be sweating your ass off, and you will get dehydrated. The website says they only allow one, unopened water bottle per person that can be refilled at their refill stations, but I have heard that a lot of venues will permit more. If you run out, do not hesitate to go to the refill station. It will be crowded but you'll need it. -Light snacks! Bring something healthy to eat, that won't melt. Like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or a protein bar. You will need it, and in the summer heat, you do not want to have something too heavy. You don't want to end up throwing up, because if you do, not only is that disgusting, but you'll feel worse afterward. -Sunscreen! Its an all day, outdoor concert. Chances are you will not be in the amphitheater all day, so you will probably be exposed to the sun a lot. Do not forget the sunscreen, and to apply it frequently. -An umbrella/ umbrella hat You may look a little silly if you have an umbrella attatched to your head, but you know what? It'll create instant shade for yourself. It might be very helpful. I'm not sure if an actual umbrella would be permitted, as it could be seen as a weapon. I'm not sure why anyone would use it as a weapon, but then again I also don't see why people would beat someone with the chain from their Tripps. -Camera PLUS SPARE BATTERIES You're going to want to be taking pictures, and possibly video. Which means you may kill your camera more than once. Make sure you bring enough batteries. Wear comfortable fitting shoes, and clothing. Its the middle of the summer, you can just wear a bathing suit! If not, stick to light colored things, like a white tank top, and shorts. If you wear all black, and skinny jeans, you're pretty much asking for a heat stroke. Be smart about this. Also remember sunglasses, if you have them, your cell phone, of course your ticket, and stuff for bands to sign! You can buy stuff, but if you already have a CD for one of the bands going, do not forget to bring it, because you might find them, and if you do, chances are they'll sign it for you. I hope this was helpful! If there's anythng I
