I do a lot of thinking about the future, and I have made it clear that I have a lot of plans. One of those ideas is to have a tour, much like the AP tour that happens once to twice a year. That's how I'd like to start, anyways. Now this is very far off, and what you are are about to read is simply me daydreaming. I just thought it'd be fun to share with you guys. I would like to start with a tour one day, called the Immortal Music tour, or something like that, and then have an entire festival that is better than Uproar, or Warped tour.
Its still many, many years down the line, and will certainly not be like this at all. Like I said, its simply just a daydream, but hey, anything can start from a daydream, right? I've actually thought about the details of a festival and such, but for personal reasons, I will not be sharing those with you. This is simply the lineup, and basic set up of what my dream festival would be. Daydreams can be anything you want, so this lineup is not exactly realistic, as it mixes many genres, and includes bands that are no longer together. This is nothing serious, its just fun. Even 'professionals', as I pretend to be, step back and enjoy the music. Anyone in this business started doing it because they were a fan of the music and musicians first, and it spiraled into more. Without further ado, let's get into my dream festival lineup. This festival would feature all of the following: All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Pierce The Veil, Papa Roach, Fall Out Boy, Adam Gontier, Art Of Dying, Adelita's Way, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Sick Puppies, A Day To Remember, Of Mice And Men, Bring Me The Horizon, Escape The Fate, Demi Lovato, The Veer Union, Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, State Champs, Escape The Fate, Halestorm, The Material, Disturbed, Simple Plan, Pop Evil, Nickelback, Stone Sour, Get Scared, Cavo, Daughtry, Boys Like Girls, Black Veil Brides, Avril Lavigne, Asking Alexandria, Avion Roe, and probably more that have been accidentally left out! (Some of the left out ones may be added to the festival ideas below.) I would also insist that My Chemical Romance, Breaking Benjamin, DRUGS, and the Jonas Brothers all reunited just to play this show. I have no idea how I could manage such a thing, but this is a daydream -just go with it. By some magical force, I am making this happen, dammit. Clearly, I like too many bands to have a simple, one day festival, and since they don't all mix well, maybe I should come up with more than one festival? I was trying to blend them all together, so it was just a variety of bands. That wasn't working too well though, because I really do not want to scheme out a four day festival. As badass as that would be, think of how exhausting just one day festivals are! So, below are a few different ideas for festivals, that might appeal to different people. The possibilities are endless, and frankly, I am having far too much fun thinking of them all. The first one is more for those into pop punk, not its not all just pop punk. Just read on, you'll see what I mean, hopefully. The mix might still be a bit strange, but strange can be awfully fun sometimes! The show would be opened up by Malaya, and A Gentlemen Army, and they would be opening up for all of the following. The Material, State Champs, Life On Repeat, Avion Roe, Demi Lovato, Boys Like Girls, Avril Lavigne, Mayday Parade, The Maine, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, D.R.U.G.S, Get Scared, Escape The Fate, Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, A Day To Remember, Simple Plan, All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, and whether people like it or not, the Jonas Brothers would be headlining. The second would be more for those into alternative rock, or something along those lines. There's also some heavier and lighter bands in the mix too. Have I ever mentioned I am awful at naming genres of music? I just like what I like, I really do not care what genre they are. This one would be opened up by Remedy X, and Sunshine & Bullets, and of course, the acts to follow them are as follows. Cavo, Art Of Dying, Adelita's Way, Sick Puppies, The Veer Union, Pop Evil, Halestorm, Daughtry, Nickelback, Stone Sour, Memphis May Fire, Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice And Men, Five Finger Death Punch,Disturbed, Papa Roach, Shinedown, Adam Gontier, Breaking Benjamin and My Chemical Romance. Personally, I'd actually want Shinedown and Adam Gontier to co-headline, BUT let's be honest, if My Chemical Romance and Breaking Benjamin made a comeback on the exact same night, it'd be a big deal. So, they'd probably be the headliners. Now obviously, these festivals are not really possible, and if they were, they'd be extremely long days. Even if a Warped tour was pulled, and multiple bands were onstage at the same time, it'd still be a long, music filled day. I would not want to have more than one band on at once, just because its not exactly fair to make fans choose between bands! Some would say that is like choosing which one of your children you love more. You might have a favorite, but you refuse to admit it. I considered adding other bands into the mix, just because I know many would love them. Such as Paramore, Man Overboard, Yellowcard, and Panic! At The Disco to the first list, or Chevelle, Evanescence, and 30 Seconds To Mars to the second, but this is mainly what I'd like to see. I see lineups quite similar for festivals such as Download Festival, Reeding Festival, or Soundwave, but I cannot go to such things. I live on the wrong side of the ocean for Download and Reeding festival, and the wrong side of the world for Soundwave. If only they would accept monopoly money to get to such shows, I'd love to attend. One day it shall happen! And one day. maybe there will be something like my imaginary festivals, with the Immortal Music name attached. The world today will never know, but maybe the future world will. I had fun with this post, so much so that it took me over an hour to write it. Let me know what you guys think about my line up ideas, and what yours as well! Its fun to daydream, never stop doing that.
