A friend of mine said he wanted to hear my thoughts on this video, since its highly different from what I normally listen to and watch. So, here it is. I left it rather unfiltered, and did not edit it into something 'proper.' I left it as is, and wrote it as I was watching the video. The video I am talking about is "To Hell & Back" by Sabaton. The video is nearly a year old now, but this was my first time ever seeing it. The intro of the song is very Scottish. The voice is very unique. And Wow....the video really does perfectly depict the mental issuses soliders usually have when coming home from war. Any solider out there that's trying to explain what's got them so 'messed up' after they return home from a tour should show people this video. Maybe then people would get that its not that simple to just shut their brains off just because "they're home, they're safe now." You wouldn't be okay either if you were in a literal war zone, and did see people die. Sometimes in very brutal, awful ways. Honestly, its a damn shame that war exists at all. Its destructive and for what? And then it tears people who are involved (and manage to survive) apart mentally. Its brave yes, but a lot of people do end up with drug addictions or massive disorders just trying to cope with what they saw while in combat. This probably could serve as a great tool for anyone trying to explain PTSD, or any other sort of anxiety problem as well. This is the video, by the way, for anyone interested in seeing it.
