Has a band ever released a song that left you wondering if the one who wrote it is okay? You like the song, but at the same time, you're concerned? That's how we're currently feeling about "The Divine Zero", Pierce The Veil's brand new release. Its an awesome song but Vic speaks of suicidal thoughts, and triggering nightmares. We can't help but wonder about it. Is he trying to reach out to those who may feel this way, or does he (or one of the members of PTV) feel this way? A couple of the lines that are the most concerning are, "I'm not meant for this world, I just don't see the point. So I don't think about it, don't over think about it. And life is a joke." Okay, not overthinking is good. We could all benefit from trying to stop that, because it slowly drives us all crazy. But life, no matter how crazy is is, is not a joke. Sometimes it is better to not think about it and just get through things for a little while, but there's more to life than just to live. We're genuinely curious about what's going on in his head, and are just hoping he knows that he too, will be okay. After all, he is the one that wrote the lyric, "Darling, you'll be okay." Hopefully, he knows that stands for him too. Questioning and concerns aside, we really like this song. It sounds great, and PTV has stuck to their song that just works for them. If you haven't heard it yet, we recommend listening to it. Once again, its called "The Divine Zero", and you can hear it live on the 2015 Vans Warped tour.
