Former Flyleaf singer, Lacey Sturn has not made music since her departure from Flyleaf in 2012, but today she has made a very exciting announcement.
To anyone who has missed Lacey's vocals, your wait will be coming to an end very soon. She has announced that she will be releasing a solo album in early 2016. The album will be called Life Screams and does not currently have a set release date. However, the first single from the album will be released through SiriusXM Radio's Octane Premieres this Sunday, November 1 at 1:00pm EST, and is called "Impossible." In regards to how she decided to get back to music, Lacey has been quoted saying, “I was listening to the radio one day and I said to myself, ‘If I hear one more song telling people to kill themselves and go to hell, I’m going to have to put a record out! I just think it would be a good thing to have a voice in the mix of all the hopelessness that actually gives you a light at the end of the tunnel; a voice that’s still honest about the pain and struggle, but can also scream, ‘Hey, wake up and be alive because there’s hope!’” Lacey has already been performing with her live band, which consists of her husband, Josh Sturm on guitar, as well as Tom Gascon on the drums and Ben Hull on bass. The four of them are already booked for many rock festivals in 2016, though no further information has been disclosed thus far about that. Be sure to follow Lacey on all of her social medias, but especially Instagram! She has been sending fans on scavenger hunts through Instagram to reveal the album artwork. She's revealing it slowly, in the form of a puzzle. One piece was on her Instagram, while the other eight boxes were white. The first one to piece it all together and reveal the album cover is not only awesome, but will also win a signed copy of Lacey's audiobook The Reason. Don't forget to tag it using the hashtag #LIFESCREAMS! Get excited for Life Screams which will be out sometime next year, and be sure to follow her on all her social medias which are linked below! LaceySturm.com, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and, of course, Instagram.
