Zakk Wylde is an icon in his own right, and has been for many years. He's the founder of Black Label Society, been a co-writer for Ozzy Ozbourne, toured with him, auditioned for Guns N Roses, and collaborated with so many artists on other songs. Now, on April 8, Zakk will be releasing his first solo album in over twenty years. This will be the follow up to the 1996 release, Book of Shadows and fans cannot wait. So much so that it was named one of the most anticipated metal releases of 2016 by Rolling Stone's website. He has apparently been working on new solo material ever since Black Label Society finished their Unblacked tour in Spring of 2015. All the songs on Book of Shadows II were recorded from his home studio, which is called The Black Vatican. This new album will be supposed by a tour, but more information on that will be coming soon. For information on everything Zakk is currently up to, head on over to his official website and stay tuned for more information such as a track listing, album cover, and tour dates.
