From the first track, “Do I”, which is all about questioning what to do next, to the very sweet final track, “Don’t Forget About Me”, Damage is one hell of an album.
They rock it out on every track, and every single one has very well written lyrics. I love every single track, there’s nothing bad about it at all. The track that stood out the most to me though, was “Don’t Forget About Me”. Its one of those songs that make your mind go straight to someone in your past, if there was somebody. Patrick is beautifully pleading for someone to never forget about him, because he’ll never forget about them. “Don’t forget about me, no matter what you do. Don’t forget about me, I’m always here for you. Don’t forget about what we had, our time here might be through. Don’t forget about me, and I’ll always remember you.” This is one of those songs you’d send to someone hoping they’d get the message. Other outstanding tracks on the album are, “Original Sin”, “Bounce”, “Beg”, “Pride”, and “Get Paid”. If you’ve never heard this band, you’re missing out. Emphatic will be going very far in the future. I give this album five stars and highly recommend it. I can’t say enough good about it.
