While I know Evanescence has a very impressive fan following, and I do see that they have "talent", I'm over all not feeling them. I've never been a fan of Evanescence.
I do see their talent, but it wasn't anything overly special to me. i found the music to be exactly like all the background music that's played in the so called "epic" moments in movies. Only song I'd say I actually liked would have to be the lead single, "What You Want". It felt different from all the others, it had some personality to it. All the others sounded the same to me, or were practically lullabies. Songs like "The Change", "My Heart Is Broken", "Lost In Paradise", and "Erase This" were putting me to sleep just listening to them. Pretty much the whole album except "What You Want", "The Other Side" and a couple others. Since this album is okay, I'll give it a three. They tried very hard, and a lot of people don't agree with me. They're highly sucessful, just not my style, I suppose.
