Through this is an old album, it is a great one. It is the album that got Shinedown on the map.
Over the years, while they've tweeked their sound, they've stayed true to this sound. Not many bands do that, so its impressive that Shinedown never changed. I can only imagine how long it took for them for perfect not only the music, but the lyrics themselves for this album. First albums are rarely as good as the ones that follow, because the bands are trying so hard to do good on it, and make a name for themselves that they mess up. This is one of the best debut albums ever. I don't really have a favorite on this album, they're all amazing. It is fairly obvious, but I have to give his album a solid, sparkly, five star rating. It deserves that and so much more.
