Good morning, afternoon, or night, person on the other side of that screen! I have absolutely no idea where you are, or the state your in but I hope wherever you are, you are well! Let's see, what are we gonna be talking about today, hmm? I think today I am going to jump way ahead of where I currently was, and discuss something that happened in April 2014.
Now this was something that did not happen at a show but rather because of a show. I know I have talked about it before, but it was sincerely very massive for my career, and I don't know if I've fully discussed the emotions of it. On August 9, 2014 I got to meet and interview Zach Myers from Shinedown and Justin Moore of Ingram Hill at one of the coolest shows I've ever seen. It was just two friends playing music acoustically with no set list just for a couple of hours, and it was really awesome. Anyways, after the show, I wrote about my experience and two days later I was chatting with a friend when all the sudden, she goes, "OMG SHINEDOWN SHARED YOU!" I won't lie, I actually yelled, "WHAT?" at my screen and couldn't search 'Shinedown' on Facebook any quicker if I tried. Sure enough, they did share the article I had written, and yes, I got extremely excited. Who wouldn't? It was the first time I had ever been acknowledged by a band that didn't actually know me personally, and it was one of my favorite bands. By the time I saw it, it already was pushing five hundred likes, and it ultimately reached somewhere around 1,500. Not only was it momentarily exciting, but them just sharing that actually changed the game for Immortal Music entirely. After they shared that, the view has gotten hundreds more views daily than it had before. It was a minor thing on their part, but that minor thing ended up being major for me. Little things really can make a huge difference, but I guess I always knew that. It was a little thing just deciding to start writing about music in the first place, and now things have grown to such bigger heights. Stay tuned for another memory tomorrow! I don't quite know which one I am going to talk about just yet, but we're gonna find out! I'm actually having a hard time doing 16 of these because I keep trying to tell all the stories from the same day in one blog. I need to stop that, so it lasts til the 16th. Yesterday's // #3
