A new cover has been brought to my attention. This is a cover of The Archies' song from 1969, "Sugar, Sugar." done by a fifteen year old, Miguelito! While pop with some rap in it is not my typical taste in music, this cover is not bad. Miguelito definitely did the song some justice, and he does certainly have a good a voice. Personally, I would recommend he stick to singing, and not rapping at all. However, if he chose to keep it up, surely many would be interested. He's good at what he does, and is quite impressive for being so young. Many questions come up for the music video though. For example, why does it appear to be taking place in a convenient store in the middle of the night? Over all though, its a fun music video, and clean too. Unlike many videos from similar artists these days, there is no grinding or nudity. Good job, Miguelito! Keep up the good work, people will definitely enjoy hearing more from you. I would have never expected this cover to be done with any rap in it, but this surprised me at how well done it was. Watch the video for yourself, and let me know what you think about it in the comments below. Do you think The Archies would be flattered by this cover, or completely appalled?

Hey, everyone! I do sincerely hope everyone that reads this is doing well. I also want to apologize for the inactivity of the website and Facebook page recently. I have a legitimate reason, I promise!
As many of you are aware, I do manage a band, among all the other things I do. The band has kept me exceptionally busy lately, promoting their Warped tour Battle Of The Bands page. This might not be the most 'professional' way of getting their name out there, but I have been spending hours a day on Twitter asking people to come and vote for them. It is technically 'spamming', I suppose, but its all for good reason! I wish some less obnoxious way of promotion was working in our favor, but for right now, that is not in the cards. So, I do what I can, even if that means being ridiculously annoying on a social media site that I rarely use. Its working fairly well, though it is frustrating me for multiple reasons. The main reason is despite all the work I'm doing, their ratings are hardly going up. It appeared to be simply Warped tour's rating system being a bit skewed, but the higher we go on the list, the more bands there are. So while, yes, the rating system does not seem to be working the proper way, another factor is just simply the amount of competition we have. Remedy X is currently at 83.3% (It might be higher by the time you see this, of course.), and there are five other bands with the exact same rating percentage, and sixty eight other bands between 83% and 84%. Previously, there was about five or six bands per percentage, and as you get higher on the list, the more competition you have. However, considering that, they actually are doing quite well. Play counts help as well, and they have more than anyone very close to them on the list. There's only a few others in the range I previously mentioned with as many, and more play counts. This progress is only happening to the extent that it is because I am spending hours upon hours every day sending out messages to people on Twitter, and some on Facebook and Tumblr. The band is helping as well, and its all making an impact, but I am explaining my part because this is effecting Immortal Music. This is not permanent. If we get into the top 200, my job will be to keep us up there. Which will entail a lot of the same actions I've already been taking, only to a smaller degree. Instead of attempting to his the Tweet limit of 2,400 in promotion for them, I can just try to keep their interest up. I'll still be sending out messages, I just will not have to work on it as hard. If we don't make it, well, then I will have all the time in the world again, and things will go back to normal. The thing is, right now, they're really counting on me. Above being their manager, I am their friend too, and I want to help. I do complain about it sometimes, but I think that's just in our nature as humans. Its for a good cause though, so I'm still willing to do it. I am trying to keep up with the page, and I am trying to get back to writing. I just need to find the time! I will find the time soon, I promise. By the way, I know I don't have to explain myself to anyone, I just felt I owed you guys an explanation because you are always there. I wouldn't get to do half of the stuff I do if it weren't for you guys out there, all over the internet. Thank you for your support, time and patience. |
