I could go anywhere with that title, but I am going to try my best to stay on task with the topic I'd like to discuss. Many people today on Music = Life have brought it to my attention that Matt Flyzik is now no longer All Time Low's manager. Now, many of you know I am a big fan of All Time Low, and I also freely admit that I do seem to absorb information about multiple bands out of no where. However, not much information was known on this matter, but I did have some theories that I may as well share with you guys. All of the information that I know is here, if any of you are interested in learning more.
First, do what the title says, and take a breath. Listen to Stay Awake, and do exactly that. "Take a breath and let the rest come easy." I know ATL fans are all very protective over their boys, and just knowing how close knit ATL and their crew are, I can understand how this news caused a stir but seriously? Please take a moment. Take a step back and breathe. People are reacting to this as if they said that one of the main members quit, and that the future of All Time Low is at stake here. Its not. The band is still going to be the same, just they won't have Flyzik. Yes, I know, "But Flyzik does a lot of back up for them!" Back up though. I know, he's important, but he's in the background for the most part. Him being there or not, is not going to mean life or death for the band. They're not going to change, because All Time Low is primarily four guys and that is Jack Barakat, Rian Dawson, Alex Gaskarth and Zack Merrick. Their crew is important, and yes, they do try to keep the same crew members as much as possible. Here's the kicker though, Flyzik has been with them seven years. That's seven years of nearly constantly touring. A lot of people don't stop to think about the fact that touring is actually a lot of work. They don't just magically appear at each venue every night and get to play a show for you guys. Half the time, they have to stop and wonder where they even are because they are always changing location. On top of that, you're having late nights constantly, probably not sleeping very well because you're constantly moving. There's just a whole lot of factors to tour life that people don't consider, and that will take a toll out of you. It does get old, or it just gets to be too much. They want normality sometimes. That may seem odd to people who live normal lives, but these musicians don't live normal lives. What's boring to you, is the most relaxing thing in the world to them because they don't always get to just sit at home watching television. Flyzik is probably just burned out, or tired. Honestly, I adore ATL, but I couldn't be their manager! I've managed a band before, and its not easy. Its a lot of fun, but trying to keep track of them is hard enough. I found it to be a challenge for a small, local band. I can't even fathom the stress Flyzik was always under between just trying to keep track of the four of them, and trying to organize the fans. Let's be honest now, anyone who's been to an All Time Low show can agree that the fans get a little insane sometimes. He has his reasons. If he doesn't want to spill his guts all over the internet explaining why he's no longer with them, that's his business. Its not the end of the world, so relax
