Bring Me The Horizon have released another song off of "That's The Spirit" and frankly, I'm kind of excited about it! I've had "True Friends" stuck in my head since I pre-ordered the album the other day through iTunes, and have really been enjoying the other songs that are out so far. So, when I saw another song was released, my curiosity rose a lot.
Before you read on GO LISTEN TO THE SONG! This post will contain a lot of spoilers and I do not want to give anything way. We posted about it here, with the link if you haven't heard it yet. Just go listen to it first, and feel encouraged to share your thoughts on the song as well. We really want some more feedback and this is probably the perfect way to get it. Anyways, the sound BMTH introduced with the Sempiternal album really drew me in and they seem to have just improved upon that sound so far with the songs off That's The Spirit. This song is about things getting to be just too much and then falling apart, and as most of BMTH's lyrics, its beautifully said. "Its like an avalanche, I feel myself go under. 'Cause the weight of is like hands around my neck. I never stood a chance, my heart is frozen over. And I feel like I am treading on thin ice." "I need a cure for me, 'cause the thread (Spread?) doesn't fit the circle. Give me a remedy, 'cause my head wasn't right for this world." Struggles happens, and sometimes you do feel like its all too much and you have no idea how you're getting through it. This song talks about that situation perfectly. I must say though, while I do like the song, I still much prefer the other releases from That's The Spirit so far. Especially "True Friends", and "Throne." Something about those two tracks really sits well with me and I can't totally explain it. I actually talked about both of those songs when they were released if you are interested. So let me know what you think about all the song BMTH has released so far! I really am excited for That's The Spirit to come out and do plan on reviewing it as soon as the pre-order lands in my iTunes Friday morning.
