Bring Me The Horizon has announced a brand new album called That's The Spirit, and just before that announcement came another new song. This one is called "Throne" and how it was brought to our attention was actually Rock Sound magazine posting an article with a title of "Bring Me The Horizon is being cryptic again."
Come to find out, they were referring to "Throne", the second song to be released off of "That's The Spirit." Pretty quick into the video, you can see why they said that. There's signs of churches, coffins, band members, harpists with cages on their faces, ect. "Every scar will build my throne." As someone with the words "Our scars remind us that the past is real", written forever in ink on their arm, I cannot agree more and simply love it. What they appear to be saying with this song is that they're not letting someone else's words tear them down. Instead, they are going to let that drive them to move onto greater things. "I'll leave you choking on every word you left unspoken. Rebuild all that you've broken." If this and "Happy Song" say anything for the new album, then Bring Me The Horizon has outdone themselves. The lyrics so far are powerful, and can easily be related to, and the sound is great. They appear to be keeping the sound that made its full debut on their last album, Sempiternal, and because of that, we are highly intrigued. The album, That's The Spirit will be out on September 11. The album will be released roughly three weeks before they embark on a tour with Issues, and hit up a few festivals, so there's a high chance of songs like "Happy Song", "Throne" and others off of the new album will be played live.
