As I mentioned in my blog about the Immortal Music awards, I have a lot of plans for this website, and Music - Life. Nothing necessarily needs to change, but I feel like I need to expand and grow a little bit. I've been taking some suggestions lately, and many of you said you'd like different genres of music on Music = Life. It might not be easy, but I'm going to try to expand that just a little bit. I say it won't be easy because what you see on the page every single day, is literally what I listen to. Its not all that I listen to, but everything I post -unless its requested by someone- is what I am currently listening to.
Anyways, last year for New Years, I attempted to put Immortal Music on a schedule, but nobody seemed to say one way or the other if they liked the idea, so I gave up on it fairly quickly. I am glad I did, because this year has been wonderful for Immortal Music and Music = Life. I went from having under 500 likes to having over 2,000 in just one year, and I now have big time managers coming to me. Its literally a dream come true, and it does blow my mind to know that this is only the beginning.
This year, I will try to do the schedule thing, but its not going to be as strict. This will mainly apply to Immortal Music, but Music = Life probably will be changed just slightly. Don't worry, you guys probably won't even notice that much. I'm thinking every Saturday I will do whatever the Fan of The Week says they want to me to. They'll be chosen every Friday or Saturday, and that takes effect next Saturday. That's December 1. I will try to do that every week. They can request anything to be posted, even non-music related things, if that's what they want. I'll do that for an hour or two, or longer, depending on how its going.
That'll be chosen by how active you are. Like, if I see you on the page every day, and actually talk to you or even just see you liking many things. That does not mean you have to like every single thing on the page, so don't go doing that just to get chosen. If you happen to actually like everything that's posted in a day, then that's great. The chances of you actually liking everything I post, considering how much I post, is slim to none.
So I'm going to be doing the Fan Of The Week every Saturday. You can't be the fan of the week twice in a row either, just to be fair to other people.
On top of that, I want to post the news more frequently again. I'm thinking I'll do that every Monday and Friday. That'll be anything and everything that I can find that happened recently. Breaking news will obviously be posted the day its discovered.
I want to start doing album reviews more often too, so I'm thinking I could post those every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. That might change eventually, because that seems like a lot, but at the same times its really not that difficult. Also, I want you guys to start suggesting albums for me to review. I do have a lot of albums I can review, and I am always finding more, but I'd really like to know what you guys would want me to review. Even if its a genre you don't normally see me posting, tell me. That will help me grow as a writer if I'm dealing with someone I generally don't care for.
Interviews really can't be on a schedule because that's not up to me. Those are sheer luck until I get as known as Alternative Press. Even Bryan Stars still gets turned down for interviews, I'm sure.
I'm going to keep doing the question of the day, even after the Immortal Music awards are complete, just for the fact that I enjoy seeing the responses.
I used to do an hour of nothing but music every single day, but I kind of do and more anyways now, so I guess that'd be nothing new. I could make photo spams more regular, if you guys want.
Let me know what you want! I am open to any suggestion or comment. I kind of want to do a topic of the day sort of thing too. Either I take a suggestion for a topic, and write about it here on Immortal Music or I make one up and write about it. Actually, either write about it or make a video for it. I kind of want to make more videos soon too. All videos are posted on my YouTube channel, MusicVamp527.
That's all I've got for now, so please leave any comments, questions or suggestions you've got! I'd really appreciate the feedback! 2012 has been a huge year for me, but I feel like with enough work 2013 could be even better. I just have to do this right.
Blogs of various topics go here, and all are written by Immortal Music's creator. You never know what you may find here, so have a look around.
