Just today Falling In Reverse released a re-imagined version of one of their very first singles, "The Drug In Me Is You", which is a piano version of the song. This was not actively talked about, though Ronnie Radke did announce a new song was coming last night in Fort Lauderdale just before walking off stage. They also opened with this version of the song, and may or may not be doing so every night of the tour. I thought it was somewhat random, yet pretty live. This is not the type of song you ever expect to hear slowed or tone down. Be sure to watch the video before continuing to read on. There are spoilers on the video and song, so if you don't want spoilers, stop reading now and watch the video. The video is rather simple, mostly just Ronnie playing piano in the snow, with some ballet dancers and some violins. How does everyone feel about it? I actually really like the vocal style of it, it really brings out his passion and is working in Ronnie Radke's favor, in my opinion.
There was an unexpected switch at the end, as it stays almost on the same toned down beat, but then screaming begins. I'm actually not the biggest fan of Ronnie's scream, but his singing voice is beautiful, I have to admit. What do you think of this re-imagined version? Do you like this, or do you wish they would have left it alone? Would you like to hear more music like this from Falling In Reverse? Let us know in the comments down below, or over on Facebook. Personally, I think this was completely unnecessary but pretty none the less. Its not what I would have ever imagined for a revisited version of this song. I would have pictured this being redone on the opposite side of the scale and being rather heavy. Either way, I like it. Also, as I mentioned this was announced in Fort Lauderdale last night, and the reason I know that was because I was there! Stay tuned because I'm working on a whole recap of the night, and I have a handful of videos from the entire show (Including this song done both ways!) that will be coming soon to YouTube. So stay tuned for that, the recap will be over in the Creator's Blog, and if you haven't subscribed to the YouTube channel yet, go do so to stay up to date with that. We'll be back very soon with more content.
