It was announced yesterday that The Dangerous Summer was dropping off of the Take The Fall tour with Hit The Lights as the headliner. Not much was said about it, and all the band would say is it was because of "reasons beyond their control." Now, Hit The Lights has spoken up about it. Read their official statement, which was found on the band's Facebook page here:
"We just got word that the Dangerous Summer will be dropping off our tour due to "reasons beyond their control". Apparently there was an inner band dispute in Chicago resulting in one of the members of TDS being kicked out of the band (or so we're told). The band went home to regroup and as of last night, had offered to do the tour acoustically. We were stoked that TDS were going to find a way to do the tour, and we offered various ways to help them continue the tour (AJ playing acoustic and riding with HTL, having some members of HTL fill in for TDS etc). We would still like to publicly offer AJ to come out and play acoustic TDS songs on the tour. You should email him and let him know that you’d like that too: [email protected] Don't worry, the tour is still happening and is going to be really special, and we look forward to seeing all of you out there! Stay tuned for an update.... PS, Cody is selling the Dangerous Summer’s tour van and trailer. The very least we could do is help them get it off their hands.... baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/2673598778.html -HTL" It has not been said if AJ will be playing the tour acoustically or not, or if what The Dangerous Summer told Hit The Lights is the truth. More information will hopefully come. The Take The Fall tour is still going on! Tonight at Frankie's in Toledo, OH. Hit The Lights will be supported by Such Gold, The Story So Far, and Divided by Friday. This tour will go on through December 23, 2011.

Halloween is right around the corner, that'll bring both tricks and treats, but that doesn't mean the music world is going to die down. Not only will people be doing spooky things, but Asking Alexandria is putting on Halloween show with the help of D.R.U.G.S, We Came As Romans, Stick To Your Guns, and others, including a wrestler in LA. You are supposed to come in costume, and they will be filming it for an upcoming live DVD. There is more information on Asking Alexandria's Facebook page, which has been linked below. The Dangerous Summer was supposed to be embarking on the Take The Fall tour with Hit The Lights, Such Gold, Divided By Friday, and the Story So Far on Halloween night in Toledo, Ohio. However, they suddenly canceled! The tour is still on, but they are not going to be on it. "We regret to inform you that we will be canceling all of our shows until December 17th for reasons beyond our control we all feel horrible canceling our upcoming tour and hope to make it up to you all soon. ♥ stay positive and do something big cody payne, aj perdomo, tyler minsberg, bryan czap" The band has given no further information on why they are no longer going on the tour. Silverstein has been working very hard on their "Short Songs" album, and have completed tracking it! They have posted a full article and another video on this compliation album on their website. The link is below, and the album can be excepted in January 2012. Blink-182's bassist, Mark Hoppus was featured on MTV's show, "When I was 17", and the full episode is now on MTV.com, as well as being aired on MTV. Sonny Moore, or as he's better known, Skrillex, has teamed up with members from the old 60's band, The Doors for a collaboration on a song called "Breakin' A Sweat" for a side project he is working on called RE-GENERATION. RE-GENERATION is a documentary about Skrillex and others reinventing five styles of traditonal music. You can hear "Breakin' A Sweat" below. A few nights ago, the former singer of Woe Is Me, Tyler Carter joined Sleeping With Sirens on stage for a performance of their song "If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hebburn. Also, this week both Safetysuit and As I Lay Dying are dropping albums. On November 1, Safetysuit will be releasing These Times, and on November 4, As I Lay Dying will be releasing Decas in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Decas will be out in the UK and all of Europe on Monday, November 7, and finally it will be out in the US on Tuesday, November 8.
Hollywood Undead's World War III tour kicks off on November 1 in Mesa, AZ! Then on Saturday, Serianna will be departing from the Rock Yourself To Sleep tour featuring Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Sleeping With Sirens, Attla, Memphis May Fire. That's what's been going on in the music and world, and what's going to go on. Pretty awesome, but there's always more to come. Or at least, they should be. Many show the love for their fans by playing shows, doing meet and greets and signings, having special deals for them, ect. Some do write songs even for their fans, which is exactly what Four Year Strong has done. They posted a song on their Facebook with a free download, called "Fairweather Fan". The song is fitting for fans, as it says, "I know its only a matter of time before my luck runs out, so I'll live each day like its my last". Its true, and some bands do take the lives they have for granted. It is a shame, and its those stars that find themselves stuggling when the fame is over. Nothing lasts forever, and everyone has to understand they'll fade out of exsistance. The thing people have to remember though, especially with musicians is that not everyone will forget them. Some will, there's no doubt in that, but for every one person that forgets, there's at least two more that they have touched with their lyrics. Those people will never forget. I like that Four Year Strong is showing the love for their fans this way, that's really thoughtful of them. You can download the song in the description of the video on YouTube. It was announced yesterday that the upcoming Falling In Reverse tour featuring Aiden, Black Veil Brides and Drive A has been canceled. Please read the official statements from Black Veil Brides, and Drive A, both of which were posted on their Facebook pages. The other two bands have made no mention of the cancelation.
Black Veil Brides stated at 7:27pm on October 27, 2011: "BVB Army, due to circumstances beyond our control we regret to share with you the cancellation of our tour running from 11/10 - 11/21 We will be rescheduling all dates and making up for lost VIP packages etc. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience and promise to make it up to you all at a later date We hope to see all of you on the Buried Alive tour with Avenged Sevenfold starting November 25th - BVB" Drive A stated at 8:55pm on October 25, 2011: The Black Veil Brides tour in November has been cancelled sorry to everyone who was going to come out unfortunately it's not our decision- xoxo Drive A" There has been no mention of reasons why the tour has been canceled, but Black Veil Brides fans are simply speculating that they are getting tired of the constant touring. Which very well may be. Black Veil Brides was touring before Warped tour, then played a lot of Warped tour (with the exception of the first couple of weeks, due to Andy's injury), took a break, and are now on an international tour before beginning the Buried Alive tour. They have been on close to constant tour since Febuary, and have tour dates through late January. It is dissapointing for anyone who was going to get to go see the tour, but people can still catch Black Veil Brides on the Buried Alive tour, Falling In Reverse on their tour with We Came As Romans and Sleeping With Sirens, and Drive A on their "Let's Have a Wreck" tour. Both tours with BVB and FIR start on November 23rd, and the Let's Have A Wreck tour starts on I just got word today that the lead guitarist for D.R.U.G.S, Matt Good is working on a side project, called JuiceB0x. They've only released one song so far, "Evolve". That's supposed to say JuiceB-zero-x, but for some reason, its showing up as an "o". I do not understand why, but I had to clarify that.
The project is a duo between Matt Good, and AJ Calderon and is all electronic. I can not find much information about this, but as I was trying to find information on it, I discovered that Matt played guitar for the first album from Skrillex. I also just learned that Skrillex is only one guy. I didn't have a clue about that. So, apparently, Matt just wanted to make a random electronic side project. I think D.R.U.G.S is still totally safe. You can catch them on the World War III tour with Asking Alexandria, We Came As Romans, and Hollywood Undead Now. LINKS! "Evolve" http://soundcloud.com/wearejuiceb0x/evolve Back on October 8, 2011, The Academy Is...announced that they were breaking up. Now, their former bassist, Adam Siska, has joined Say Anything. Last year, Say Anything's bassist departed ways with the band. You can read the statements from both Say Anything and Adam below.
""Having parted much more than amicably with alex last year (he's still a dear friend), we knew it would be very difficult to find someone who can fill his shoes on both a professional and personal level, but we are so lucky that Adam happened to be available at exactly the right time, and somehow we seem to have ended up with both. This is a guy who is in a band for all the right reasons: a love for playing his instrument and a passion for music. We're fortunate that Adam happens to deem our music worthy of being the focus of that passion and are so excited to have such an awesome new member of Say Anything." - Max "I couldn't be more excited to become a member of Say Anything. I have been a fan of the band since the release of the debut album, and got to know them well while on tour during the summer of 2008. When I spoke to Max about joining, there was no doubt in my mind that this is a band that I believe in and want to put my heart into. I look forward to seeing all of you at shows very soon!" - Adam Say Anything will also be releasing an album, Anarchy, My Dear through Equal Vision Records in early 2012. You can also catch the lead singer, Max Bemis on his winter solo tour at the following dates. 11/30/2011 @ Brighton Music Hall Boston, MA 12/01/2011 @ The Space Hamden, CT 12/02/2011 @ The Bell House Brooklyn, NY 12/03/2011 @ The Note West Chester, PA 12/04/2011 @ Ottobar Baltimore, MD 12/06/2011 @ Local 506 Chapel Hill, NC 12/07/2011 @ New Brookland Tavern West Columbia,SC 12/09/2011 @ The Masquerade – Downstairs Atlanta, GA 12/10/2011 @ The Social Orlando, FL 12/11/2011 @ The Orpheum Tampa, FL 12/13/2011 @ Spanish Moon Baton Rouge, LA 12/14/2011 @ Warehouse Live Studio Houston, TX 12/15/2011 @ House of Rock Corpus Christi, TX 12/16/2011 @ White Rabbit San Antonio, TX Welcome to the band, Adam. Glad you get to contiune your dream of playing music, and espeically with a band you've admired. That's a dream Exhibit A is presenting an art tribute to Metallica, called "Obey Your Master" on January 20, 2012 featuring many well-noted artists, including Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides! Most people are probably staring at their computer screens, thinking, "Andy is a music artist, not that kind of artist." This is true, but by the looks of it, Andy is contributing to this tribute by playing up his strengths. Everyone knows the crazy makeup Black Veil Brides wears on stage, and there are such things as "Make up artists". He appears to be just changing it up for the event, and presenting himself as a work of art. I think its a cool idea to do a tribute to a rock band that has touched the lives of so many over the years with art. There are so many forms of art, so why not support one form with another? I have included a link to the event's full list of participants, so everyone else can see what
Many people all over the world know of the Guinness Book Of World Records, but they mostly know of the absurd ones like the woman with the longest finger nails, or the world's tallest man. What you may not know if there are many world records involving music as well.
One of which, 30 Seconds To Mars will be breaking on December 17 in New York City. That date marks the 300th show in support of their third studio album, This Is War. That date also marks the date that 30 Seconds To Mars breaks the world record for the Most Ammount of Shows Performed During a Single Album Cycle. This is crazy, espeically since it hasn't even been two years yet since the release of This Is War. I can not find who currently holds the record, unfortunately. "“We have been on the road for an incredible and insane two years and thought what better way to celebrate the end of this phenomenal journey than with a week of special shows in New York City. We thought documenting this for posterity with the Guiness Book of World Records would be fun especially as we aren’t any good at growing our fingernails very long or cultivating the world’s largest squash,” said frontman Jared Leto. (This quote was from the 30 Seconds To Mars website. If you want to be there, live in person for a moment in history pre-sale tickets are now on sale, as are golden tickets (Starting at 10 am EST), and general tickets will be going on sale October 22 at 10 Am. This event will be happening at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. 30 Seconds To Mars has been known for quite some time as one of the biggest rock bands out there, espeically with their multi platinum albums, and sold out shows world wide. Just in support of This Is War, they played in over 60 cities in six continents. That's a huge deal, especially considering there are only seven continents in the world. They are currently on their "Closer To The Edge" tour, and will be in Mexico on October 22, at the EXA FM Radio Event in Palacio de los Deportes. Leading up to the final date of the tour, which is the New York show, they will hit countries like Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, France, Austria, Belguim, and Germany. Clearly, 30 Seconds To Mars is one hell of a band, playing litterally all over the world, and selling millions upon millions of albums. Its guarenteed, especially now that their name will be in the Guinness Book Of Worldf After the death of their drummer, Maxim Soria, the band has decided to play one final show and stop for now. Please read the statement below,
"Valencia originally came together back in 2003. Most of us were still just in high school, but we all had gotten to know each other through the tightly knit music community we grew up in around Philadelphia. We started this band because of a mutual need to create something heartfelt and to give everyone a message we needed to share. We all felt like music would be the most significant part of our lives, but never in our wildest dreams could we have predicted the things we'd get to do, or more importantly, the people we would meet because of this band and the songs we wrote and shared with the world. We started touring full time in late 2004, thanks to everyone at I Surrender Records putting faith in our band and releasing our first record. Ever since then, we've given everything we had to our music. We've been touring nonstop since then, playing shows in 46 states and five different countries over seven years, all of them places we were brought to thanks to people that believed in what we had to say. This band started when we were teenagers, and now, as we enter our mid-to-late twenties, we've decided that it's time for us to scale back our time on the road and explore the other elements of life that are not as easily accessible while touring full time. We aren't considering this our band breaking up, because if that was the case, this situation would feel very final, and it doesn't feel that way to us. It remains natural for us to write music together and there is always a possibility that we will release new music as Valencia sometime in the future. In the meantime, new music will be written and released by each of us and when that happens, we will let you know. In honor of starting this next chapter, please join us on December 28th, 2011 for one last show in our hometown of Philadelphia, at the Electric Factory. We hope you'll be there with us to share one of the most personal, memorable, and important nights of our lives. Thank you all for everything - the letters, the tattoos, the years of listening, for so many countless, priceless sentiments - there's no way we could ever fully express our gratitude for everything you've done for us. We've been given the chance to go down a path not many are able to take, and because you've had our backs through the story that is our band, we're able to continue that journey through whatever comes next for us. From the bottom of our hearts, Shane, George, Brendan, Dan, Trevor, JD, and Max Valencia VALENCIA'S LAST SHOW Wednesday, December 28, 2011 The Electric Factory 421 N. 7th Street Philadelphia, PA phone: 215.627.1332 http://www.electricfactory.info/" Pre-sale tickets are now on sale, and they go on normal sale on October 21 through Ticketmaster. The show features special guests Electric Factory. Any Black Veil Brides fans out there are probably aware of Bryan Starzzzz (as Andy Biersack calls him) and his insane interviews with Matt Good and Andy Biersack, Black Veil Bride's lead singer. Those interviews are Bryan's most famous, and generally hilarious. They seriously will live you cracking up at the computer, Matt and Andy are funnier than most YouTube stars like Smosh, Ray William Johnson, and definitely funnier than Fred.
Last night, I witnessed a phenomenon on YouTube! Before it was even done processing, the Black Veil Brides Interview #4 Andy Biersack & Matt Good UNCUT Warped Tour 2011 got over two thousand comments before it was even done processing, and over 10,000 views over night. The BVB Army also decided to spam Justin Beiber videos like "Baby" saying how much they love BVB, and attempted to trend "BVB Army" on Twitter. I can honestly say this kind of fandom, amazed me. I have liked several Black Veil Brides fan pages, and they were all buzzing about the interview, debating on when it would be done processing. I don't think I've seen fans ban together like that since the Jonas Brothers were huge. Fans would do stuff just like this, sit and wait for a video to upload, or air on televison, all while discussing it, or say how much they like them on another page. BVB Army, I'm sorry if you don't find comparing you to Jonas Brothers fans a compliment but I am meaning it as one! I found this to be very cool! As for the interview, I started laughing so hard at one point I almost cried. I commented on the video saying that from now on, every interview he does with Andy, Matt, both, or the rest of the Black Veil Brides guys should be uncut. I may have mentioned this before, but I admire Bryan's style when it comes to interviews, and I have told him that before. He's unique in his interviews, unlike so many. I seriously hope I can bring life to interviews just like that one day. So, that's the news today! BVB Army, may just help BVB take over the world. Take over the world that will be ruled by Matt Good! In case you don't get that reference, please go watch "Black Veil Brides Interview #2 Andy Biersack & Matt Good Uncut". That may or may not be the name, you'll find it regardless. Don't forget to watch the 4th one, even though most of you BVB fans already have. There's a link right below this text for anyone who wants to watch it. I myself am resisting the urge to turn it on for a second time. LINKS!
