Former Flyleaf singer, Lacey Sturn has not made music since her departure from Flyleaf in 2012, but today she has made a very exciting announcement.
To anyone who has missed Lacey's vocals, your wait will be coming to an end very soon. She has announced that she will be releasing a solo album in early 2016. The album will be called Life Screams and does not currently have a set release date. However, the first single from the album will be released through SiriusXM Radio's Octane Premieres this Sunday, November 1 at 1:00pm EST, and is called "Impossible." In regards to how she decided to get back to music, Lacey has been quoted saying, “I was listening to the radio one day and I said to myself, ‘If I hear one more song telling people to kill themselves and go to hell, I’m going to have to put a record out! I just think it would be a good thing to have a voice in the mix of all the hopelessness that actually gives you a light at the end of the tunnel; a voice that’s still honest about the pain and struggle, but can also scream, ‘Hey, wake up and be alive because there’s hope!’” Lacey has already been performing with her live band, which consists of her husband, Josh Sturm on guitar, as well as Tom Gascon on the drums and Ben Hull on bass. The four of them are already booked for many rock festivals in 2016, though no further information has been disclosed thus far about that. Be sure to follow Lacey on all of her social medias, but especially Instagram! She has been sending fans on scavenger hunts through Instagram to reveal the album artwork. She's revealing it slowly, in the form of a puzzle. One piece was on her Instagram, while the other eight boxes were white. The first one to piece it all together and reveal the album cover is not only awesome, but will also win a signed copy of Lacey's audiobook The Reason. Don't forget to tag it using the hashtag #LIFESCREAMS! Get excited for Life Screams which will be out sometime next year, and be sure to follow her on all her social medias which are linked below! LaceySturm.com, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and, of course, Instagram.

We The Kings has announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, Strange Love! Fans do not have to wait very long for the release though, as it is set to come out on November 20. They have not released a single for this year, nor do we know what the track listing is just yet. Surely though, it will feature the "Check Yes Juliet Part 2" that they spoke of much earlier this year, and everyone hopes to hear it.
Are you excited for the release? There is no pre-order offer just yet, but chances are that will be coming soon. A few months ago now, it was announced that there will be a Disney cover compilation CD. Its not the Punk Goes Disney like we all have been dying for, but Fall Out Boy is featured on it. Today they released their cover of "I Wanna Be Like You", which is from The Jungle Book. We must say, its rather perfect actually. Check it out! You can pre-order We Love Disney right now! It comes out on October 30, and features artists like Ne-Yo, Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani, and more! Pre-order it now on iTunes!
Fall Out Boy decided to rerecord their song, "Irresistable" which is featured on their latest album, American Beauty/ American Psycho. The song now features Demi Lovato, and to go with it, they redid the video with Doug The Pug. They clearly had fun with it, and you can watch it all below. Falling In Reverse is having a lot of fun with their tour lineups right now. First they set up what most people are referring to as a 'troll of a tour' because they will be with Metro Station, Attila and Assuming We Survive. If that wasn't off the wall enough for you, they also just announced the Christmas vacation tour. That tour will go from December 11 through the 20th, and will feature Atreyu, From Ashes To New, and Assuming We Survive as well. All the tour dates are below for anyone that's interested! There's the Supervillian tour, which is the first one we mentioned, and then the Christmas vacation tour. Immortal Music may be at the November 21 date of the Supervillans tour, we're not sure just yet! Stay tuned to find out? 10 Years today Bullet For My Valentine released their first full length album, The Poison. Not only is the album ten now, but there is a song on the album called 10 Years Today! The original debut of this album was only in the UK on this day. It was released in Japan next on January 30, 2006, and then finally came to the US on Valentine's Day 2006. This is the album that made many discover BFMV, and this includes Immortal Music. The first encounter we had with Bullet was "Tears Don't Fall", and it was quickly followed by "Waking The Demon", which is actually on their next album, "Scream Aim Fire." which came out two full years later. What's your favorite song on The Poison album? Ours is probably "Tears Don't Fall" or "All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)" |
What's this? These are just some of the happenings in the music world. There will always be something that Immortal Music did not cover, but here are just some events. Archives
