Artist Vs Poet posted a hilarious Blink-182 holiday cover, which will be featured on a holiday mixtape (EP?) that will be coming out on December 6, 2011. The cover of it is at the end of the video, and it is called Naughty Or Nice. Not surprised that it has a parental warning on it with a title like that. Check out their cover of Blink-182's "Happy Holidays, You Bastard" right here. Only thing wrong with this song is it is not long enough! My American Heart broke up in 2009, but now they are planning two reunion shows in Febuary 2012. Details have yet to come.

Dying is a bit of a harsh word, but a few days ago it was announced that Max Green of Escape The Fate has been kicked out, and they have been facing line up changes as is for several months now. While their fate is still yet to be seen, Get Scared has just announced that their vocalist, Nicholas Matthews, is leaving Get Scared. They posted a note on Facebook with their announcement, which you can read below.
"We regret to inform you that (Nicholas Blake Matthews) has decided, his time with Get Scared has run out. This is so hard for us to announce, However this was not a decision made against Nicholas's wishes nor was he kicked out by any means. Nicholas felt Get Scared was no longer what he wanted to pursue and has moved on musically. Once again, This is so hard for us to announce. We are all still shaken up by it, there is no preparing for a loss as great as this. Although this was a shock to the entire band, Nicholas and Get Scared absolutely have no bad blood towards one another. Nicholas will forever be apart of the Get Scared family and we all look forward to his undoubtful success as a musician. With having said that, Get Scared will continue rock'n on! We are currently working on new material and couldn't be more proud/excited of the new songs. We can't wait to share them with all of you! Unfortunately, any winter touring plans Get Scared had prior, will be postponed until further notice. At this time we do not have any announcements of a new singer. But, We will be holding auditions via video submission. We feel that we should give our fans an equal opportunity to become Get Scared's new singer as we would to a professional singer. Who better to give a chance to than the very people who gave us life, our fans. Get Scared loves you unconditionally, and we look forward to sharing the future with all of you! We will be posting many updates to keep you current with our plans." That note was posted this morning (Wednesday, November 30, 2011), at 12:40am EST. Nothing more has been said, except one status from their guitarist, Johnny B saying nothing more than, "Life is like a 1,000 page book...u want to quit halfway through, but then u realize you have a lot left to look forward to ♥ Johnny B" What's going to happen now? As of yet, nobody knows. Guess everyone will have to wait and see. This morning, Black Veil Brides released the track listing, release date, and cover of their upcoming EP, Rebel -EP. To end the tour with a bang, Four Year Strong, and what looks like all the other bands on the AP tour (The Swellers, Sharks, and Title Fight), decided to join the party all together. Watch the video to see what happened. After their bassist, TJ Bell departed from the band in Spring, Motionless In White has been trying to find a new one. Now, they have. Their new bassist is named Devin Sola, and it was announced yesterday.
"We’re really happy to announce that we have found our new bassist! We’re excited to officially welcome Devin Sola - aka “Ghost” - into Motionless in White. We’re really stoked on having found someone that fits perfectly with us, that our fans also love. Come meet the Ghost on tour and welcome him into the MIW family with us - and follow him on twitter @lonesomeghosts." I See Stars recently posted a video talking about a third album, their tour with Of Mice And Men that they are currently on, and plans for 2012. You can watch that right here, if you'd like. The All American Rejects have been working hard on their fourth studio album. While the title is still unknown, Tyson Ridder recently stated in an interview that the album will drop on Febuary 7, 2012. In the interview, he also states that they've been working on the album for about two and a half years, and that its been a "labor of love." The Summer Set has released another clip from their Christmas EP, What Money Can't Buy, which comes out tomorrow. "Something 'bout this time of year" -The Summer Set https://www.facebook.com/thesummerset/posts/292633357443237 Recently Max Green, the bassist of Escape The Fate posted a mysterious message, stating he was quitting Escape The Fate. A little while later, he saw it and posted a response, letting fans know everything was alright. "Sooo, I guess last night an old bandmate tweeted about me in a drunken haze,
then deleted it & said that I quit ETF, THAT'S BULLSHIT!!" He posted again saying, "Slander and lies is not the way a "professional" band should go about telling fans why they told their bassist/last original member to leave." So apparently, for unknown reasons Escape The Fate kicked Max out of the band! I have a feeling it has something to do with the fact that he could not tour for a while due to rehab and all that. Shouldn't they be supporting him? I think he's ok now. Supposedly, Craig has responded to tweets from Max about this ordeal, but I can not seem to find them anywhere. Luckily, Bryan Stars has. He said that in response to something Max said, Craig Tweeted, ""Your absence has become a normality." My assumption is probably correct, but what are they going to do without him? First they temperarily lost Monte for touring, now they kick out Max? What's next? Fans keep going to the fact of Max was the only original member remaining, but I am going to the fact of what are they going to do now? I feel that Escape The Fate will never be the same, and quite frankly, while I adore Craig Mabbitt, I feel he's being an ass right now. Plus, he's an alchohalic, or pretty close to it. He's always drunk, which is why he stupidly posted what he did on Max's Twitter. A drunken man's words are a sober man's thoughts. Its obvious that he had been thinking about kicking out Max, and while I suppose I saw this coming, I still think its wrong. I left a comment on Bryan's video basically saying that they should not be doing this to Max, especially not since Craig is full of his own issues too. He's an alchohalic, or on the verge of being one, and his alchohal addiction does get in the way sometimes. Well, there's one Escape The Fate fan highly disappointed. How do you guys feel about this? Leave a comment and tell me what you think. On December 20, The Downtown Fiction will be releasing their new EP, Pineapple on iTunes. Today, right here, you can see the track listing and cover. Which is what else? A pineapple! The track listing goes as such: 1. Out in the Streets 2. Get It Right 3. Happy (Without You) 4. Feeling Better 5. Circles The band has already released "Happy (Without You)" yesterday, which you can still hear below on their official website. Also, don't forget to listen to their cover of "Super Bass" on Punk Goes Pop 4! On November 28 -this coming Monday- The Summer Set will be releasing their Christmas album, What Money Can't Buy, but now they have released a clip of the song "Old Mexico", fans can stream it from the band's Facebook page, which is linked below. There is also a video explaining the song a little bit. Also, tonight at the House Of Blues in Cleveland, OH, the AP tour with Four Year Strong, Gallows, Title Fight, The Swellers, and Sharks will end. Coming up this week, The Summer Set will release their EP, All Time Low will release their "Time Bomb" video, Simple Plan takes a break from their international touring for a few months, and As I Lay Dying will embark on their own tour. "Happy (Without You)" -The Downtown Fiction http://www.thedowntownfiction.com/news/89ebfe-exclusive-song-premiere-happy-without-you/ "Old Mexico" - The Summer Set clip https://www.facebook.com/thesummerset?sk=app_178091127385 Today is the first date of Avenged Sevenfold's Buired Alive tour. Tonight Avenged will hit the state at Germain Arena with Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria and Hollywood Undead as their support. I am very happy to say that I will be there tonight. In support for this tour, Avenged Sevenfold has released a commerical for the tour. You can watch that here. Other tour news is going on right now. Yesterday, We Came As Romans began their headlining tour, Take A Picture, It'll Last Longer tour yesterday with support from Sleeping With Sirens, Attila, and For All I Am. Today is the end of Blood On The Dance Floor's All The Rage tour with Angelspit, and New Years Day.
Even though it is all over YouTube, and available to be purchased, Silverstein is streaming their cover of Kayne West's "Runaway" on their Facebook page, as well as shared a link to the iTunes store where you can purchase it. As I Lay Dying has released a remix of their song, "The Blinding Of False Light", and have it on PureVolume for free download! http://www.purevolume.com/new/asilaydying While I was checking out my Facebook news feed today, I found this. Someone said "Big Time Rush is not ment to cover All Time Low." At first, I thought, "Oh come on, its just a cover. That could be cool." Then I saw Bryan's Star's comment, "Big Time Rush- No Idea (Stolen From All Time Low)". I had to listen to it. Its not remotely the some, except for the chorus. Here's the song, and the lyrics to All Time Low's chorus. All Time Low's lyrics say, "And I just wanna breathe until I take you in.
I never want you to leave until I take you in. (But the truth is... She has no idea (no idea), That I'm even here (that I'm even here). She has no idea (no idea). That I'm even here (that I'm even here)." Big Time Rush barely even changed anything in the chorus, just the rest of the song. That is awful! Write your own damn songs! That pissed me off, can you tell? You guys may be able to expect a blog about this later. First off, Amely gave Alternative Press the information on their final EP, The Raleigh Sessions. They talked a bit about what they are going to be doing from now on, and are showing off their track listing and album cover. You can check out both right here as well as a statement from the vocalist Petie Pizarro. ""We have actually announced our breakup as a band so this EP is a farewell EP that we self recorded, produced, and mixed. The entire process from start to finish was created by the band alone in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is a digital only release and will be on iTunes and Spotify November 21st. Thanks so much for supporting Amely you guys, it really means a lot to myself as well as the other dudes. AP really lifted our spirits when we saw ourselves in the readers polls multiple times. Thanks so much for everything. Also, for your curiosity... 3 of the members of Amely including myself are actually starting an all ROCK band (Not pop punk), called Sovereign Soliders" 1. Back to Love 2. Hold On 3. Sell Your Alibi 4. Wasted Love 5. I'll Never Be The Only One 6. The Girl She Is 7. Fallen Remember that date: November 21 is the day it comes out. Four Year Strong has also recently performed, "Just Drive" on the Daily Habit. In case you missed it, there's no need to worry, you can watch it right here! The Summer Set have announced they will be releasing a very well thought out holiday EP. Please read their statement here.
"Today marked the end of our three day stint in the studio here in Phoenix. We recorded two Christmas songs, one called “Something ‘Bout This Time Of Year” and another called “Old Mexico” (strange title for a Christmas song eh?). There’s a reoccurring theme in both of these songs, the importance of being around the ones you love this time of year. All too often people get caught up in materialistic things, every billboard, every TV commercial is telling you what you “NEED,” when the truth is you don’t actually “need” any of that shit, it’s not important, the people you love are what really matter. Because of that, we’re talking about calling this Holiday EP What Money Can’t Buy. Thoughts?" Sounds rather interesting to me, and makes perfect sense. Then finaly, New Found Glory has released a documentry about their lastest album, Radiosurgery. Radiosurgery came out on October 4, 2011, and they felt fans should know more! You can watch the behind-the-scenes documentary at the link below. LINKS! https://apps.facebook.com/voxbloc/newfoundglory |
