I Prevail released a new song today! This is not attached to a new album, front man Brian has made that perfectly clear recently while doing a Facebook Live stream. This song though is a collaboration with Illenium and Excision. Neither of which were bands I happened to be familiar with. This song came with a music video, which was recorded while they were in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards a couple months ago. For those unaware, they were nominated for two Grammy Awards. One for best Metal album, and one for best metal song. Unfortunately they did not win, but its still a massive honor just to be nominated. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so please check out "Feel Something." below before reading on. The video feels a little random, looks like a post-apocalyptic world with just an eagle and a dinosaur for some reason. Its a known fact that a lot of I Prevail's work is centered around depression, anxiety and general life struggles, and given the name, I am sure I do not have to explain the song to anyone.
I don't get the music video, it feels a little pointless. But I do like the song. I won't say its their best work, but I don't see this being one of those songs I listen to one time and never again. It feels like nothing I Prevail has ever done, which makes sense, they were not the only ones who had a hand in it. Check out the song, and give us your thoughts as well!
