An interview has come out of Asking Alexandria's Danny Worsnop, and Ben Bruce where they are talking about various things. This includes the topic of radio being killed by the internet, and bands killing certain genres. This interview has caused quite the stir, mostly due to the fact that Ben Bruce stated that 90's grunge -specifically, Nirvana- killed metal. How can one genre "kill" another? Times change, and so do styles. As the creators of the music we all know and love retire or even pass away, things change. Its just the natural order of things, and nobody can change that. Danny tried to say that everyone sounds the same. That everyone uses the same formula and it sucks. "The issue is a lack of issues." Danny stated, shortly on the heels of saying, "Get a drug problem." Ben also stated that Guns And Roses is the only metal band that managed to hold on through that. He took that back to say that Metallica did it too, though they are a different breed. He also said that they are shit now, but still are incredibly popular. Asking Alexandria are known for living the stereotypical "rockstar" life. Drug use, heavy drinking, sleeping with groupies nightly, ect. They claim to just not really have a care in the world, but frankly, it appears to be an act. Also, while they are indeed talented, are they really any people to judge? This interview, will more than likely go down in history. You can watch the interview below, and decide for yourself.
