Stealing Eden is a hard rock band from Vancouver, BC, and this interview was rather special to Immortal Music as they were one of the first bands we ever found via the internet. You might not know who they are now, but passing over them would be a massive mistake. They are incredibly underrated and talented, and you will not be disappointed.
Their guitarist Maximus sat down and answered some questions for Immortal Music, and here is what all he had to say. -What can fans expect from Stealing Eden in the near future? We are currently demoing upwards of 25 songs for an upcoming album. No release date planned but shooting for summer sometime. -How do you think the music writing process will differ now than it previously did for you? I think it will be pretty much the same. Most of the last record was written sitting in front of my computer, pressing record and coming up with some ideas then sending it off to the guys and chipping away at the songs from there. Dave writing lyrics and then jamming the songs out to see if they feel good. -Name something you listen to that nobody would expect you to. I'm listening to Cryptopsy right now. -Out of all your songs, which are your favorite and least favorites? That's a tough one. I think my least favorite is Calling Out. -What is your dream concert lineup (both to see and be part of) This might not make sense but probably The Beatles, Led Zeppelin Randy Roads era, Ozzy, Pantera, Original Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Danzig, Hatebreed, White Zombie, Life Of Agony, Snot. -What's your favorite venue (that you have played)? And why? Richards On Richards in Vancouver. Awesome sound and a huge room. -How would you describe your music to someone that has never heard it? Hard rock with that extra something -What song do you wish you had written, but really just enjoy? I dig the Nothing But Thieves song Graveyard Whistling. -What would you be doing if you were not a musician? I use to do martial arts and played hockey, maybe one of those. -Besides music, what do you do in your spare time? Just normal stuff like watch movies and go to concerts -Is there anything you would like to add before we go? #stealingeden2015 Be on the look out for a brand new album from Stealing Eden, and meanwhile be sure to check them out on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and iTunes.
