While I wouldn't say O.A.R. is one of my favorite bands, I do feel they're severally underrated. They remind me of someone I can't actively place, but they're good.
I guess you could say they are a mixture of The Fray, and Daughtry, and all their music is very melodic and smooth. My favorite is probably "Shattered", even though the song is about getting hurt repeatedly and wondering how long it'll be until you can't take anymore. I just happen to really like how it sounds. "How many times can I break 'til I shatter? Only the light can define what I'm after. I always turn the car around. Give me a break, let me make my own pattern. All it takes is some time but I'm shattered. I always turn the car around." I don't know why, but I like that a lot. It is a relatable song, we've all caught ourselves wondering what more we could take, and we've all given up before we even got to experience things. The rest of the album is pretty good too, and all very smooth. Something that most would consider "easy listening". I give this album five stars. Its not quite my style, but its still a good album.
