Just over sixteen years ago, 3 Doors Down made their debut with The Better Life. Its official release date was February 8 of the year 2000, and peaked at number 3, then dropped to number fifty-five, and then went back up to twenty four on the Billboard Hot 100. Since its realease, its sold nearly 6 million copies in the US alone and has gone platinum six times since its release. Pretty damn impressive, yes? That's just the start of 3 Doors Down's very successful career that just keeps growing. This album however does have what is one of the most iconic rock songs of the early 2000s. Or at least, its definitely one of those songs we think everyone knows, especially those who were a kid in the 2000s. That song is "Krypotonite", which needs no description because there's a high chance it just started playing in your head the second you saw that word. Just for the soul fact that its an iconic song for this generation, its just a given that "Krypotonite" is a stand out track. I found it rather hard to pick out stand out tracks for this one, just because its one of the only albums from 3 Doors Down I can say I have listened to over and over again through out the year in full. I hate to just pick out the singles as stand out tracks, but in this case, I think that's somewhat the route I'm going to go with. They must have done a good job picking singles because I really do think, "Loser" and "Be Like That" stand out a lot. The whole album is very good though, over all. Its not something I think to turn on very often, but its not something I'm going to turn off either. If you somehow have never hear it, check out the album, and all of 3 Doors Down's other work that they've released over the last few years. While you're at it, head on over to their official website to see everything they've got going on. Coming up very soon on March 20, they will be playing a free show at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, and then just a few weeks later will be going on tour. The tour goes from April 8 through May 13, and in the mist of that tour will be several festival performances. They will be playing at Welcome To Rockville, Fort Rock,Carolina Rebellion, Rocklahoma and Bands In The Backyard. Further information can be found on 3 Doors Down's website or the respective festival websites. Also be sure to check out our other reviews of later works from 3 Doors Down.
