Fans of Sublime and various forms of indy rock will definitely love Up The Chain's Windows Into Worlds EP. The EP was just released on April 21, and it seems to be a very mellow, like the type of thing you would turn to when you just would like to relax.
The entire EP stands out greatly, but one of the most unique things about it is the fact that they included the demo version of the track, "The Hardest Stone." Bands will often release demos, but its long after the released version has been out in the world, its more rare to release both at once. Up The Chain is a neighbor rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania be sure to check them out on their official website and Facebook and remember that you can get their brand new EP Windows Into Worlds on iTunes now.

All Time Low will be releasing a brand new album, Future Hearts on April 7 worldwide, but decided to legally stream it through iTunes radio before its actual release date. This album is slightly different from other releases from All Time Low, but a knowing fact about All Time Low is each album has a familiar, yet slightly altered sound to it. No two albums are 'the same.'
Future Hearts gets very personal by speaking of love, deceit, struggle and releases. It tells many stories, and will get many thinking. The entire album stands out for various reasons, but the stand out tracks are, "Old Scars/ Future Hearts", "Edge of Tonight", "Kids In The Dark", and "Missing You." The favorites are "Old Scars" and "Kids In The Dark" but "Edge of Tonight" is incredibly sweet, and "Missing You" is one of those songs that could save lives if its heard at the right time. "Old Scars" is empowering in a way, and it simply says what so many are scared to say. It also goes with their 2009 release, "Weightless", in many ways. "I don't wanna be the one that's left behind. Don't blame me, don't hate me. I don't wanna be the one that's left behind. I won't fade away, be forgotten or just cast away. This life is mine to live! I won't fade away. I am lost inside this endless haze of life. But this life is mine to live." This is your life, and its far too easy sometimes to feel like you're just going to be left behind, while the rest of the world moves ahead. This song perfectly speaks of that feeling and its beautiful. "Edge of Tonight", is all about someone keeping you going. He sings of someone keeping him alive, safe and sane during the troubles life throws at you. Its incredibly sweet, and we can't help but love it. Then there's "Missing You" -anyone who ever feels like giving up needs to hear this. There's no questioning it, its just a must. "Hold on tight, this ride is a wild one. Make no mistake, that day will come when you can't cover up what you've done. Now don't lose your fight kid. It only takes a little push to pull on through. You'll be missing out and we'll be missing you." Don't pass up Future Hearts, its a great album, and tells so many stories that everyone needs to heart. The album is officially out everywhere April 7, and you can hear it before hand via iTunes radio. |
