Alright, so this isn't going to be a normal review exactly. Its more of me sharing my first thoughts on the video. I was not online the day of its release (May 9, 2013.) so I am a bit late on the game, but I have not heard anything about the video except that it is a weird video. So, these reactions are my genuine first thoughts, and hopefully someone will get a kick out of them. Before I begin, I do have to warn people in advance that I am a very big fan of All Time Low, and a girl. Some of my thoughts may include comments on the boys in the band themselves just because I am a fan. I'm just putting down exactly what goes through my head, unedited, uncensored, just real. Now we may begin. This will (obviously) contain spoilers, so read on at your own risk if you have not seen the video already. Actually, for those who are reading this and have not seen the video, (and are able to) I have put the video just below this text. Please watch that, if you have not done so already and then carry on. My first thought when the video starts is "Why the fuck is there a dog costume on his dresser, and in his doorway?" Then we see Alex, and right away my brain goes, "Aw, Alex." As he puts on the outfit, and eats cereal on the counter, I can't help but picture a small child eating Trix in their beloved costume instead of normal clothes.
Did anyone else notice the heart shaped spot that's basically over Alex's crotch? I can't help but wonder if that was intentional. All Time Low are quite the perverted bunch, after all. As Alex is eating cereal, swinging his feet, and the camera shows the rest of them getting suited up in their mascot outfits, my eyebrow raised in confusion. Already, I am beyond confused. What the fuck am I watching? Already crossed my mind more than once and the video has only been playing a few seconds at this point! All the furry costumes go away and we see them all dressed normal in what appears to be an arcade. "Okay, this is cool, I can accept this. They look good, and who doesn't love an arcade?" crosses my mind. WHO WAS THE GIRL IN THE DANCING LOBSTER COSTUME? I had seen in a promo picture that they were going to have a lobster resembling the dancing lobsters from The Amanda Show (that sadly ended in 2004, I believe), but who is that girl? Also, who was the random dude in a fish costume? What the hell, All Time Low? Just what the hell? I also keep wondering if they warned any of the people around them that they were going to do this. All the scenes where they were outside, at least one person gave them a look of confusion. I feel like they just filmed all this stuff and didn't tell anyone. I'd be curious to see how many times they had to explain themselves to people. Okay, so I just kept going "What the hell?" Until those girls started playing the 'Whack A Mole" game and it was All Time Low as the creatures in the game? What's up with that? I'm so confused! Are you guys on drugs? I love you, but seriously, are you on drugs? I'm confused still....so they worked at this arcade in those costumes, and ended up in the machine? Why didn't the girls stop trying to hit them when none of them had the heads on? I wouldn't wanna smack them on the heads with a mallet! That's just hateful. Also, please tell me I'm not the only one who expected Alex to climb into bed and Jack would be there, not that girl? Let's be honest here, its not just fan made bullshit to think that "Jalex", as Jack and Alex themselves called it long ago, is real. Over all...I'm just confused and once again questioning All Time Low's sanity. First the "Somewhere In Neverland" video, now this? I really am at a loss for words except to ask if someone was on acid or something when they came up with the concept of this video. Its not bad, just very....interesting to say the least. Leave a comment telling me what you guys thought of the video here or on Music = Life. I'm curious to see what others may have to say about it.

If you've been on Facebook, or maybe even just YouTube today, you may have heard that Falling In Reverse has released a brand new music video. The video is for their song, "Alone", which they have been playing live at shows recently. Now, I liked the song when I saw the live videos, but when I saw the actual music video with the studio recording on it, I found myself having a whole other opinion on it.
I can't say I hate it; because I don't. Like many others, I don't quite know what to think. When someone told me that they expected Ronnie to be rapping in new songs, I told them they were nuts. Well, apparently they weren't nuts. This song honestly sounds like it should have been a Hollywood Undead song. Now, I've never been a big Hollywood Undead fan, but this isn't a bad thing, per say, its just not what I expected from Falling In Reverse. I don't like rap, or hip hop either for that matter, so honestly, I'm not too fond of this song. The chorus is great, and I did enjoy some of the lyrics, but a lot of it, in my eyes, just wasn't up to the standard Falling In Reverse set themselves up for with The Drug In Me Is You album. A change in sound was to be expected, but this? This might be a bit too far. Many do love the song, but I've seen more comments saying that they didn't know what to think than anything. I'm hoping the rest of the album, Fashionably Late will be different from its first single. So, I've stated my thoughts on the song, now its your turn. Leave me comments here or on Music = Life's about the song. Thanks for reading! Hey guys, I wanna talk about a few things, but first I want to explain why I've been posting so much less lately. For the most part, its because of YouTube, I'll freely admit it. No, I'm not saying its because I spend so much time on YouTube watching videos, though that is a factor, its because I've recently become very dedicated to making videos. It hit me one day a few weeks back that people seem to want to watch something rather than read something these days. I know that's not always true, but it can be sometimes, so I've been really focusing on that. I'm also not going to lie, some of it is also due to lack of dedication. It does happen to the best of us, even the greats sometimes. I sorted some things out though, and am trying to get focused on working on my dreams ago. Actually, I made a video about it even. The video is all about dreams, why they're important, and what's been going on with some of mine. You can view that just below this text. If you are interested in checking out any of my videos, I have linked my channel below. I post videos every Thursday and Sunday, but I am considering adding to it soon thought nothing has been determinded just yet. http://www.youtube.com/user/musicVamp527 I promise I will try to post more on the website, I really do feel bad that I haven't been keeping it updated. I have been keeping up with the news to an extent though! I've been extremely active on Music = Life as always, and do post news as I find it onto the page. For those who are might not be coming from the Facebook page, the page is linked at the bottom of this blog.
I am working on some album reviews for new releases and some things I've just been meaning to review. So you guys can expect many reviews to be posted soon. If they're not posted, feel free to yell at me on Music = Life. Hopefully I'll listen. Thank you so much for all your support, guys! It means way more than words can even express. Thank you so much, and please keep checking back here, on Facebook, and on YouTube for more content. I hope you guys like what I do, because I certainly love doing it. https://www.facebook.com/MusicIsImmortal527 |
