Pupfresh is another website, much like my own that keeps fans updated on the bands they love. However, its come to my attention recently that they seem to have their facts messed up. Sometimes, they actually have no facts at up. Are they becoming the Inquirer of the music world? I certainly hope not.
Now, it is understandable that some news stories turn out to be false, a lot of the time things seem promising and then fall apart. That is when you post some sort of statement retracting it and hope people see it and take it well. However, what I just saw is just wrong, in my eyes. Pupfresh is leading fans to believe that My Chemical Romance is planning to release something new in January 24. When I heard these rumors, considering all the recent drama with their Twitter account, I didn't believe it. Of course though, fans are very excited over this, so I was still hearing a lot of talk about it. I decided to do my own research and the article I found about it on Pupfresh's website has no information different from what everyone else has had. Hey Pupfresh, I know you want some attention, but don't make up lies that are going to get the Killjoys all riled up for nothing. They have a supposed 'screencap' from Warner Brothers but I can find no such thing on the Warner Brothers website that looks remotely like or. Nor does their site say anything about new things from My Chemical Romance. Only mention of them on there is that they are on their label. There is nothing in their news section either. Also, when I dropped their "screencap" into Google for a quick search nothing came out. I find that to be quite suspicious, don't you? This is what I dislike about the journalism world, too many will take the little rumors they hear and try to make them sound as realistic as possible to get some traffic on their site. I think that is highly unprofessional, and just flat out wrong. Don't purposely spread false information. I have accidentally posted some false information in the past, but as soon as its confirmed to be untrue, I fix it. I either take the article down completely, or put a note at the bottom of it stating that it is false. I don't want to lead people on. That's how it should be. Now that I have spoke my mind, I will be on my way. Thank you for reading this. Note at a later date: Pupfresh appeared to just be ahead of the game, and opened their mouths before they actually should have. Gerard Way has confirmed this greatest hits album, and all the details that are known about that can be found here.

I could go anywhere with that title, but I am going to try my best to stay on task with the topic I'd like to discuss. Many people today on Music = Life have brought it to my attention that Matt Flyzik is now no longer All Time Low's manager. Now, many of you know I am a big fan of All Time Low, and I also freely admit that I do seem to absorb information about multiple bands out of no where. However, not much information was known on this matter, but I did have some theories that I may as well share with you guys. All of the information that I know is here, if any of you are interested in learning more.
First, do what the title says, and take a breath. Listen to Stay Awake, and do exactly that. "Take a breath and let the rest come easy." I know ATL fans are all very protective over their boys, and just knowing how close knit ATL and their crew are, I can understand how this news caused a stir but seriously? Please take a moment. Take a step back and breathe. People are reacting to this as if they said that one of the main members quit, and that the future of All Time Low is at stake here. Its not. The band is still going to be the same, just they won't have Flyzik. Yes, I know, "But Flyzik does a lot of back up for them!" Back up though. I know, he's important, but he's in the background for the most part. Him being there or not, is not going to mean life or death for the band. They're not going to change, because All Time Low is primarily four guys and that is Jack Barakat, Rian Dawson, Alex Gaskarth and Zack Merrick. Their crew is important, and yes, they do try to keep the same crew members as much as possible. Here's the kicker though, Flyzik has been with them seven years. That's seven years of nearly constantly touring. A lot of people don't stop to think about the fact that touring is actually a lot of work. They don't just magically appear at each venue every night and get to play a show for you guys. Half the time, they have to stop and wonder where they even are because they are always changing location. On top of that, you're having late nights constantly, probably not sleeping very well because you're constantly moving. There's just a whole lot of factors to tour life that people don't consider, and that will take a toll out of you. It does get old, or it just gets to be too much. They want normality sometimes. That may seem odd to people who live normal lives, but these musicians don't live normal lives. What's boring to you, is the most relaxing thing in the world to them because they don't always get to just sit at home watching television. Flyzik is probably just burned out, or tired. Honestly, I adore ATL, but I couldn't be their manager! I've managed a band before, and its not easy. Its a lot of fun, but trying to keep track of them is hard enough. I found it to be a challenge for a small, local band. I can't even fathom the stress Flyzik was always under between just trying to keep track of the four of them, and trying to organize the fans. Let's be honest now, anyone who's been to an All Time Low show can agree that the fans get a little insane sometimes. He has his reasons. If he doesn't want to spill his guts all over the internet explaining why he's no longer with them, that's his business. Its not the end of the world, so relax Oh, where has the year gone? There may be no answer to this question, but the end of the year is rapidly approaching. With just two months left, it’s just about the right time of the year to wrap up the best and worst things in music. Immortal Music is proud to present the 2013 Immortal Music awards! This is the second annual awards, and this year, things are going to be handled vastly different.
Last year, a different category was voted on every day for the final two weeks of the year. This year, it’s going to span over the final two months of 2013. All voting will commence on the Facebook page associated with this website, Music = Life, and it’ll be on all kinds of categories. This includes best and worst albums, best band, favorite lyric, best collaboration of the year, most memorable tour of 2013, best singer, screamer, guitarist, bassist, drummer, and many other things. Categories can be suggested now through November 1. Voting on the first category will begin on November 1 of 2013. Fans will also be asked questions such as “Who would you like to see new content from in 2014?” and “Who would you like to see tour more in 2014?” over time as well. There may also be a special award for pages on Facebook. This does not mean official band pages, or specifically fan pages of a band. Any pages that deserve special recognition for activity, or fan interaction will receive a special mention along with all of these awards. Whether or not it seems like it, pages on Facebook actually make a big impact on people’s lives every single day, and that is something that should not go unnoticed. Thank you so much to everyone who has been supporting Immortal Music and all that is associated with it. Please do not hesitate to suggest a category, or vote when the time comes. These awards would be nothing if it weren’t for the fans out there. It came out today that Jesse Lawson has departed from Sleeping With Sirens and for some reason, fans took this and ran with it. This information has appeared to turn into a game of telephone, where the true information gets twisted and skewed to the point that it no longer has the same meaning.
Have I lost you yet? If you don't know what I'm talking about yet, please take a moment to fill yourself in. Please click here to read the article about Jesse's departure and then return here after you read it. Now that you're probably caught up on what's going on, we all can carry on. Many fans think that they band is "broken up" now. I don't know who started this rumor, or what gave someone that idea, but the band has not said anything to lead anyone to believe they are broken up. In fact, what I find a bit odd is the fact that, except to post the picture announcing his departure, nobody in SWS has acknowledged Jesse's departure. Jesse has, but only to thank people on Twitter for their support. What's the deal with that? They said there were no hard feelings, so why haven't they said something? Hopefully its just that they are busy, what with being on tour and all, and just have not said anything yet. Maybe some more details will come out in the days to come. We just don't know yet. I do want to hear more details, such as if it was sour grapes, or just Jesse felt it was time to go. After all, he does have a baby, and a wife, and not everyone is comfortable being away from their family for long periods of time. Who knows what else may be going on too, that we just do not see. Its his life, and people should respect that. I think people sometimes forget that band members aren't just characters on TV. They're real people, with real emotions. Music may be their lives, but they do have other things in their lives. Believe it or not, their normal, and even with thousands of fans world wide, their lives aren't perfect. Nobody's is. As for the future of the band, all fans need to take a moment and relax. Everything's fine. Nick Martin, formerly a member of DRUGS is filling in for him, and frankly, that means they are a full band still. Nothing is going to happy. Yes, its hard seeing a lineup change sometimes, but people do what they have to do sometimes. People also need to keep in mind that Jesse did say "Its time for me to focus on my family and my next musical venture." So clearly he is not done with the music scene yet. Sleeping With Sirens fans, please react and stop assuming they're done now. They're not, you're just upsetting yourselves and many other fans by spreading around this very untrue rumor. Could it happen in the future? Yes, of course. That's possible for any band. Its just a part of life, but that doesn't mean its going to happen any time soon. It could be right after this tour, or it could be twenty-five years from now. Nobody knows. Don't worry about it, and just suppr Before you read on, if you clicked on this article because you saw the title and instantly got excited, hold your horses a moment. Please do not read further, but read the the article that's linked right below this text, and then return here. It is important, otherwise, you probably will be slightly confused by what all I am about to say. http://musicisimmortal.weebly.com/2/post/2013/10/the-black-parade-isnt-dead.html
Now that you hopefully read that, you're probably caught up on all the known information. Fans of MCR have been anxiously awaiting their return since the day they announced their break up. That is not news at all, its just common knowledge that the MCRmy is full of fans that simply cannot wait for their return. I believe I have said this in previous blogs, and all over Music = Life, but I have no doubt that MCR will return. I have said before that they will, "Pull a Fall Out Boy" and be done for several years and then return with a bang. Despite the fact that the tweet from Frank Iero has been proven to be fake, the description of the Twitter account is real and is enough to get fans questioning. Rumors have already swelled back up about this, and now everyone is wondering if they will possibly be returning under a different name. As soon as I heard this rumor, I begin thinking of all the reasons as to why this may happen. Did MCR have a problem with their record company? A lot of the time, record labels will claim rights to your band name, and then if something goes sour or simply your contract is up, the band's name sake can disappear as fans know it. Its not right, because the record labels are supposed to be there simply to help bands get their music out there, and keep them alive as a band. They're not supposed to tear them down, but sometimes they do. It is corrupt, much like most of the world. Keep your heads up, MCR fans. Who knows what could come in the future. That really applies to any situation, but especially this one. "Sometimes, in order to grow, you need to tear down everything that came before." Don't forget that. |
