Breaking Benjamin is back with a brand new album. Their last album, Dear Agony, was released in 2009, and now they have returned with a brand new album. Dawn Before Dark.
A lot of the time, after a lengthy hiatus, bands will return slightly different than how they were when they disembled. Breaking Benjamin, however, stuck true to their sound and have not changed a bit. Dawn Before Dark may be a brand new release, but they stuck true to their classic sound.
There are a lot of similarities in both the instrumentals and lyrics, which seems to be something most fans are loving. If you listen closely, you will notice references both lyrically and instruementally throughou the album to previous releases. Such as in the lead single, "Failure" the instrumentals are very similar to "So Cold" and "Dairy Of Jane." Perhaps that's just us, but that's what we heard.
Some stand out tracks on the album are "Breaking The Silence", "Angels Fall", and "Close To Heaven.' All are great for different reasons, and its just nice to say Breaking Benjamin is back and has not changed one bit.
You get this brand new album, Dawn Before Dark now on iTunes, or wherever music is for sale. You can also catch Breaking Benjamin on tour starting this August. For more information, check their official website.
All reviews have the date they were written, the album title, and the band's name, with the exception of Life Starts Now by Three Days Grace and Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin. Those dates were guessed at, as they were written well before the website began.
