It took me a very long time to check out the latest album from
The Maine. I had heard it was vastly different from the Black And White album, and that some fans were displeased with this fact. The album is greatly different from all the other albums The Maine has released but for the better. This one is slightly more on the rock side than on the pop side, and it works for them. My favorite is the lead single, “My Heroine”. Everything about it is just very attention. Parts of the song have a classic rock feel to them, and the lyrics are just incredible and catchy to me. What I can’t exactly figure out is if he’s singing about a girl being bad for him, or if he’s personifying a drug. It’s definitely something to consider. The entire album is wonderful; the Maine needs to keep this sound. This one works best for them. I give this album five stars, as this is hands down their best album yet.
