So last night a friend IMed me and asked what my go to songs when I was angry were. We all have those go to songs, the songs that fuel the emotion, and just feel aggressive. I instantly named a few songs, as did she, and the conversation was sort of left at that. But I keep thinking about it, and there were so many more songs I didn't even think of at the moment. I have no idea why this is still on my mind, but thought, hey, might as well write them out since its on my mind!
I'm actually not currently mad about anything, I'm actually in a decent mood at the time of writing this. But a good song is a good song, and I think a lot of people out there will still agree with it. Also sorry I keep just making lists, its oddly entertaining for me, and I just hope someone else out there enjoys it as well. Here's a list of songs I turn to when I'm pissed off. 1. Gasoline -I Prevail 2. Bow Down- I Prevail (Is anyone even a little surprised? If you've been around for a while, I'm sure you're not) 3. Waking The Demon -Bullet For My Valentine (This is the original one for me! First song I ever remember turning to to fuel the emotion was this) 4. People = Shit -Slipknot 5. The Devil In I- Slipknot 6. Mr. Highway's Thinking About The End -A Day To Remember 7. The Downfall Of Us All -A Day To Remember 8. Antivist- Bring Me The Horizon 9. Taste of Regret -Of Mice And Men 10. Where Did It Go? -Asking Alexandria 11. Riot -Three Days Grace I actually found it much harder to find exactly what I turn to while not actually in a mood. Its a bit of an instinctual thing when you're in the moment. You don't even have to think about it, just instantly gravitate toward certain songs. When you're not in the moment, it actually takes some thought. I feel like there's honestly so much more that I would normally turn to, but yet for some reason I can't think of much more. I was looking through my music library and my first thought was "Well just about anything heavy works." But that's not necessarily true. Its still specific songs. Perhaps its just because I'm not in that mindset, or maybe I just need more caffeine, but my list is rather short right now. What songs do you tend to turn to? Let us know in the comments either here or on Facebook. And while you're at it, I've been doing a lot like this lately just to pass the time. The other day, after talking with a few of you guys on the page, I began what will hopefully turn into a series. I made a playlist of things I've felt particularly drawn to lately, which you can read by clicking here. Or I also made a list of 50 empowering songs, which you can read by clicking here. There's also been a few other just light hearted fun posts made prior to both of those. You can just find those in the creator's blog, if you're interested. Thank you for sticking around, and interacting. You guys don't know what it means to me even in normal times, but it means even more in these tough times. It sounds completely cheesy, but it does sincerely make me feel less alone. I'm sure I'll be back again soon with some other nonsense that nobody asked for. Talk to you guys soon.
