Slipknot has a lot going on right now. For starters, the band is planning to release a new album in 2014, and Joey Jordison, the band's drummer, has departed ways from the band. Read the statement that the band has posted on their website below.
"To our Maggots and fans around the world, It is with great pain but quiet respect that, for personal reasons, Joey Jordison and SLIPKNOT are parting ways. We all wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds. We understand that many of you will want to know how and why this has come to be, and we will do our best to respond to these questions in the near future. It is our love for all of you, as well as for the music we create, that spurs us to continue on and move forward with our plans for releasing new material in the next year. We hope that all of you will come to understand this, and we appreciate your continued support while we plan the next phase of the future of SLIPKNOT. "Thank you, The 'KNOT" Also, more news involving members of Slipknot. Corey Taylor has been cast in a movie titled, Fear Clinic with Robert Englund. Information, such as a release date is still unknown. Corey will also be reuniting with the Stone Sour boys January 14 through Febuary 15 to tour with Pop Evil and Stolen Babies. However, one of the members, (James, as the rumors currently have it.) will not be joining them on this tour so he can focus on writing the new Slipknot album. Who is in his place is currently unknown, but this is exciting news for Slipknot and Stone Sour fans. For anyone interested in going to this tour, all dates can be found on their website, and tickets, as well as VIP tickets are now on sale. VIP tickets include a meet and greet with the band that includes a photo, a VIP laminate, posters, and guitar picks. Get excited Maggots and Stone Sour fans, there's big things coming your way!
