It was announced today that pop rock icons, Yellowcard will be parting ways after one final tour that will begin this fall.
The tour is going to be world wide, and the US leg of the tour has been announced. VIP tickets are on pre-sale right now for all the dates so far. You can also pre-order their last album, which is self titled all on Yellowcard's official website.
Today, they also released a very appropriately titled new song, "Rest In Peace." You can listen to the song, read their statement and see all of the tour dates below.
"Putting this into words hasn't been easy. When saying farewell, it is hard to know where to start, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it, but the time has come to share this news. After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour.
The decision was an incredibly difficult one for us to make. We considered so many things - our families, our health, our future endeavors. In the end we realized that this was the right time to step away and preserve the legacy and integrity of the band. It is with you, the fans in mind, that this decision was made, We wanted to have the chance to share our farewell with as many fans around the world as we could, and now is the right time to do just that
We went into this record knowing it would be the last, which is why we chose to have Ryan Key and Ryan Mendez produce it. The motivation behind this was to make sure these songs came from a place that was deeply rooted in us. We wanted to push ourselves to create a lasting finale for this incredible story on our own. It is also why we chose to self-title the album. We were lucky to still have our friend and mentor, Neal Avron, on board as Executive Producer and mixer and we've made one of the strongest records of our career and a fitting final creative piece.
Once this final chapter for Yellowcard comes to a close, we will all be heading in new directions in our lives, but these memories will never leave us. We can only hope that the memories we have made together with you will stay in your hearts as well You have stood by us through all of the highs and lows on this unbelievable journey.
We will be forever grateful to Yellowcard fans all over the world for the opportunities you have given us. We have played shows for nearly two decades on six continents, and had the chance to keep recording the music we love year after year. While it is with sadness that we say goodbye, it is with gratitude and amazement that we look back on a career we can be proud of, and were so very lucky to have had.
Please come and join us on our last trip around the globe. We hope to share this final record and tour with each and every one of you.
"I won't be with you, but I won't be far away and this is goodbye."
-Ryan, Sean, Ryan, and Josh

Remember when A Day To Remember released "Paranoia" not that long ago, and they claimed it was a one off song?
Also remember when they said they were slowly working on an album and they had no idea when they would get one out?
Yeah, I honestly thought they were full of shit on that, and come to find out, that gut feeling that they weren't telling the truth was correct. Today A Day To Remember announced that they will be releasing their fifth studio album on August 19 of this year. And yes -"Paranoia" is on the album!
The album is called "Bad Vibrations" and pre-order bundles are on sale now on ADTR's website. Clever little shits, aren't they? They sure had all of us going, thinking they were just moseying along, taking their sweet time working on a new record, when they were clearly nearly done with the album.
Check out the title track, along with the album art work and track listing below.
1. Bad Vibrations
8. We Got This
9. Same About You
10. Turn Off The Radio
11. Forgive and Forget
Pre-order bundles range from $10 and $150 and include all sorts of things such as stand alone CDs (both digital and physical copies), vinyls, t-shirts, hoodies, posters, ect. Be sure to check that out on A Day To Remember's website for all the information.
Also keep in mind that this summer, they will be on tour with Blink 182, All American Rejects, and All Time Low. Tickets are on sale now and the tour starts this July, just after a few festivals!
There's been talk of a video for Shinedown's latest single, "Asking For It" for quite some time. Clips have been posted, along with a video of Brent Smith speaking about the video.
Now it is finally here and was posted on the band's official Facebook page. It has not yet been uploaded to YouTube, though surely it is coming shortly. Below is the video of Brent talking about the video and right here is the link to the actual video.
"There are many elements that go into making a SHINEDOWN video. So what we decided to do on the latest installment in the SHINEDOWN catalogue was have as much fun as possible. The video for #AskingForIt is more of a skit/short than a music video. Working with long time friend and director Darren Doane is always an adventure. We collectively wanted to do something completely original and different for us and our audience. With the help of our management at In De Goot Entertainment and our esteemed record company, Atlantic Records, we feel that we've done just that...
(Taken straight from Shinedown's post.)
Be sure to head on over to Shinedown's website to check out everything they have going on. This includes more music videos for songs off of Threat To Surivival, such as "Cut The Cord" and "State Of My Head." Over there you can also find tour dates.
They have many festivals coming up all around Europe, starting with Rock AM Ring tomorrow in Germany! Over the course of this month, they will take part in festivals in Germany, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, the UK, Russia, Switzerland and Belguim. Once that concludes, they get a little bit down time before setting out on this year's Carnival of Madness with Halestorm and more all around the US! That begins July 17 -for more information, see their website!

These are just some of the happenings in the music world. There will always be something that Immortal Music did not cover, but here are just some events.
