Lead singer for Of Mice And Men, Austin Carlile, is known for his kind hearted nature, so hearing he was arrested for the assault of a man was quite shocking.
Austin was arrested in Bowling Green, OH, at 2:50 AM with the band's drum tech, police reports say. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for fractured nasal bones.
A mugshot of Austin has been released, and he has now been released from jail. The show they had scheduled tonight with Chunk! No Captain Chunk has remained unaffected. The reasoning behind this battery has been left unsaid, but fans are speculating that he did it to defend a fourteen year old fan who just passed away from cancer, after the man said something bad about her. The fan's last wish was to get an autograph from the band, and to see them live finally. The band obliged and talked about her often. Two shows were canceled so they could attend her funeral, and Austin Carlile has now gotten the fan's name, Katelyn, tattooed on him as a memory for her. So, this rumor does make perfect sense but has yet to be proven.
It has also come out that Austin will have to appear in court on April 15, 2013 in Bowling Green. He is also not to cause, attempt, or threaten harm against any person or property.
Don't worry, Of Mice And Men fans, it sounds like Austin Carlile is perfectly safe.
