Bring Me The Horizon's That's The Spirit album, that only just came out on September 11, already has a Gold certification! It has sold 100,000 copies in the UK alone, and because of that has now gone Gold! We're not totally surprised, the album is rather incredible. Bring Me The Horizon works very hard and will be playing a ton of shows in the new year all over the world. This includes a bunch of festivals here in the US!
January 28 they will be in Singapore, then will play three different locations in Japan on January 29, February 1, February 2. Then they are off for a bit before heading to Germany, Italy, Spain, France, and England -in that order between April 5 and April 22. They get a short little break before coming over to Florida for Welcome To Rockville and Fort Rock. They then will play Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion, and Rock On The Range. Those are all over the US, between April 29 and May 22. Check out the BMTH official website for further information on all their doing in the new year, and the respective festival websites for more information on those shows.

The rock world is mourning another loss at the moment. Motorhead has been one of those legendary bands since the 1970s, and unfortunately front man, Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister has passed away.
The band spoke up after the internet had some how gotten word, and began to stir, questioning if the rumors were true. They confirmed it, and come to find out the man discovered he had cancer just two days before his passing. "There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made it’s way down the street, with his family. We cannot begin to express our shock and sadness, there aren’t words. We will say more in the coming days, but for now, please…play Motörhead loud, play Hawkwind loud, play Lemmy’s music LOUD. Have a drink or few. Share stories. Celebrate the LIFE this lovely, wonderful man celebrated so vibrantly himself. HE WOULD WANT EXACTLY THAT. Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister 1945 -2015 Born to lose, lived to win. Please feel free to post your condolences, well wishes and memories on our official tribute page: https://www.facebook.com/lemmykilmisterforlife" The man did live a very long successful life, though. Lemmy was seventy years old, released twenty two albums, has a family, and thousands of people who loved him dearly. Rest in Peace, sir. You may be gone, but at least now you can look down fondly on the world as they remember you, and you can do it in good health. This March, Asking Alexandria will be releasing their first album with their new frontman, Denis Stoff. The album will be called The Black, and so far does not appear to have a set release date as of yet. The album artwork can be seen below. This will be the band's fourth album in total, and hopefully there will be some information very soon on the album. Such as a single, release date and track listing.
Meanwhile, starting February second, you can catch AA all over the US with Bullet For My Valentine and While She Sleeps on the British Invasion tour. That tour goes until March 11, and then they go to Australia to perform with Blessthefall and Buried In Venom for just over a week. They head straight back to perform at multiple festivals here in the US such as Fort Rock, Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, and Northern Invasion. For more information, head on over to the respective festival websites or Asking Alexandria's official website. It may sound like a weird video title or something just to get someone's attention but a vegan burger has been created with Bring Me The Horizon. Bring Me The Horizon teamed up with the Twisted Burger Company to create their very own burger. Frontman Oli Sykes is vegan, so surely that's where some of this inspiration came from.
The burger will be available for order four weeks from now at Twisted Burger’s Harley and Riverside Live locations in Sheffield, as well as at the Vintage Rockbar in Doncaster. All burgers will come with a BMTH sticker and frankl,y it sounds pretty decent to us. Its been known for a while now that Rob Zombie was working on a new album that would come out in 2016. No further information was known.....until now. No release date is currently known, but we do have an album name and album cover! The sixth studio album from Rob Zombie will be called The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser. Just as the album cover says -WOW. What a name, right? That's a mouthful, but kind of awesome. It paints quite the picture, if we're honest.
Upon hearing this name, came a rather hilarious comment and comeback on Rob Zombie's Facebook page. One of the top comments says, "Proof that Rob Zombie is actually a hippy." Just an hour after that was commented, Rob responded with, "NOT A HIPPY BUT A TRIPPY!" Mr. Zombie is clearly still having his fun, and is only going to keep having more! Rob Zombie is currently scheduled to play six different festivals in just May alone. Surely, more shows are going to be scheduled, and he has a movie coming out next year as well. Wanna check him out at one of the many festivals? He's playing Fort Rock,Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, KWR Rockfest 2016, Northern Invasion and Rock On The Range 2016! You can also read all about him as part of our Fort Rock series! The fourth annual Fort Rock festival will be coming to Fort Myers, FL on April 30 and May 1 of 2016 and this morning the lineup was announced! Day one will be headlined by Rob Zombie and Five Finger Death Punch, and day two is headlined by Disturbed and Shinedown. Early bird tickets are on sale now, and they are for the full weekened only. Single day tickets will become available on December 21.
Weekend tickets are currently $79.50, which is the cheapest you're going to get so get them now at that price while you still can. VIP packages are also available for $199, and again that is the cheapest you will get them! For more information, head on over to the Fort Rock website and get excited because we sure as hell are! All over the internet yesterday, My Chemical Romance has trended harder than they have since their break up was announced in 2013. Too soon? Sorry, Killjoys. Maybe this will make it better! Funko Pop! will be releasing three different MCR related Pop Figures. For those who have some how missed out on what a Pop Figure is, they're these little figurines often modeled after pop cultural icons. They're primarily fiction characters, but there's also the Funko Pop! Rock collection which has many music legends such as The Beatles, Elvis Presley and many more. Joining that collection is three different versions of Gerard Way. Prices or release dates are currently unknown, we're afraid. As long as they stick to normal Pop Figure prices, they should be between $12 and $15. Some do range a bit higher, and given the popularity of MCR, that is a possibility.
We're wondering.....will these be all for the MCR pop figures? If so...why are you not including the rest of the band? They're all highly important members as well, and have very cool styles to play with. They could easily have many versions for each member, and the Danger Days version of Gerard as well. We're also hoping this is the start of something more with Funko Pop! We are collectors of the figurines ourselves, and would absolutely love to see other bands get turned into figurines. Many people have taken the DIY ones available and turned them into band members, but official versions would be very cool. Get on it, Funko! We want more! These Pop Figures should be available very soon! The Skeleton Gerard Way is a Hot Topic exclusive and the other two will be pre-released at Hot Topic and then will be available everywhere else. At least, that's our understanding of it. If someone has more insight on that, please let us know. While you're at it, which one do you like best? Do you plan on getting any (or all) of them? Let us know! Personally, we want the Revenge one the most. The Three Cheers For Revenge album is easily our personal favorite MCR album and we quite like the style of it as well. |
