Nick Jonas is back in the business of music, and is entirely different than ever before. He has been quoted saying that he is very excited about his new music, and that he likes that some people have not even really believed it was his work because it was so different than anything he has ever released.
Mr. Jonas has released two singles so far, "Chains", and "Jealous", and both will be featured on his upcoming self titled solo album. The album is set to come out on November 11, 2014, and is rumored to have ten tracks, and three bonus ones. So far, no titles except for the already released singles are known, but as the release date approaches, those will come out. Only real information that is currently known about this is that Nick has collaborated with Demi Lovato, Mike Posner, and Angel Haze. We also know that the album will have a sound reflecting his influences including Stevie Wonder, Prince, the Bee Gees, The Weekend and Frank Ocean. This should be an interesting album, to say the least. The not so lovely people over at Metal Sucks apparently did some digging and found a Spongebob themed metal band called XSpongecoreX.
Um...what the fuck? Yes, you read that right. Spongebob themed metal band. Its both random as hell, and kind of hilarious. One of their songs actually is a full reference to a classic episode of Spongebob, "Chocolate With Nuts" from 2002. Not surprisingly, the band is rather underground. With under 5,000 fans, and a rather unique idea.. who know's what could happen in the future. The band appears to an EP on their Bandcamp account, and a single. The single is, "Right Where I want You" and that is the one referencing the episode from 2002 that most young adults today have fond memories of. Then there's the EP, How Tough Are Yah? The EP features five songs. "G.A.R.Y", "So You Like Kickin' Butts Do Yah?", "Dubby Dan", "He Was Number One", and the one that could potentially go viral here on the internet, "This Is Patrick." This is one of the randomest things I have heard from the music industry in a very long time -possibly ever. Its too weird not to share around, to be honest! So, go check it out and maybe tell a friend of this randomness. On Thursday, September 11, The Foo Fighters performed a top secret show in the UK. This show was in an abandoned train tunnel under London’s Waterloo Station, and was viewed by just six hundred fans. The band kept this show so top secret that they even used a pseudonym for themselves. This show was performed under the name 'The Holy Shits.' The Holy Shits (normally known as The Foo Fighters) played a twenty one song set for these lucky fans and there are videos and pictures from this underground event. Check them all out, and the full set list.
