On January 27, 2014, Papa Roach will be releasing a brand new album called 'F.E.A.R.' This abbreviation actually stands for "Face Everything And Rise" and that is also the title of the first single from the new album. A teaser trailer was posted today, and the song will be officially released on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Keep in mind that while this will be the first single from "F.E.A.R" this is not the first song Papa Roach has released from that album. The first was released ten days before this one and was called, "Warriors."
If the rest of the songs are anything like these two, this might just end up being one of those albums to live by. Its sure to be incredible, powerful, and inspiring. Pierce The Veil has announced what might be one of the coolest contests to ever be done. Photographers over the age of eighteen can send in two of their best shots, along with their name, age, contact email and preferred date of the upcoming tour. The grand prize is a poster made up of your photograph, which will be signed by Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens.
Along with that, you will also receive a general admission for the preferred date of the tour, and a photo pass. A photo pass allows you in front of the barricade for the first three songs of each bands set to take photos. The pictures must be one action shot and a life style one. Meaning, one must be of a moving, living creature, and the other is more of a portrait. (Obviously, concert pictures do count.) One person per date of the first leg of this tour will be chosen by the bands themselves. This leg of the tour begins November 5, and all the dates can be found below.
Other things you need to know about this contest are as follows: -You must send your photos and information to [email protected] as soon as possible. -You MUST be 18 or older to enter. -A professional camera is needed (In other words, your phone will not be allowed.) -Winners will be announced within 72 hours of each show. -You have to grant the bands permission to use your photos on their social media. (They may use up to 20 of your photographs!) -You have to provide at least 10 action shots of each band within 72 hours of the show. -You have to be available on the day of the show, and be present. -Many will be granted tickets and passes, only one will get the signed poster of their own photograph. All the details can be found here and hopefully a contest just like this will be held for the second leg of the tour as well. As of right now, it is unknown if they will do so or not. There's always some sort of drama, isn't there? In the past couple of years, there has been a ton of drama in between band members. This time, it started between Senses Fail's official account and Fronz of ATTILA.
Senses Fail appeared to be unhappy with ATTILA's newest song, "Proving Grounds", and the fact that it does say the word "Faggot." Through this entire conversation, Fronz was defending the song, as well as himself. The whole ordeal started with Senses Fail saying, "How many times can Attila insult the LGBT community in 3:00 mins? I lost count." Naturally, Fronz responded, though he did it indirectly. He stated, "If you think I'm homophobic in any way possible, you're clearly either an idiot or you're in a washed up band that nobody cares about." That was a bit uncalled for. You're mad, rightfully so, but do you have to pull the "washed up and nobody cares" card? That's not true, there's plenty of Senses Fail fans out there, and besides that, there's no need to pull that card. Reading the whole conversation though, via an article on Alternative Press' website, just posed one question. Did Senses Fail somehow NOT hear Callout? Everyone remembers "Callout." Whoever was running the Senses Fail Twitter account at that very moment was simply unhappy about the word "Faggot" being used. Yes, the word was used, but it was used in "Callout" too and nobody flipped over that. The way Fronz used it wasn't nessicarily dergoatory, as he was literally just responding to the 'haters', who use such words at him. Sure, he could have used a different word, but he didn't, and the word "faggot" in other cultures actually means a bushel of wood. Senses Fail's issue here was simply that the word was used. Did anyone say anything when "Callout" ended with, "Hey, Westboro Baptist! Fuck you too. Come and protest this, faggots"? No. Only ones that got upset was the Westboro Baptist, everyone else had a great laugh at it. Clearly, someone got offended here, and that's fine, but the whole thing doesn't make a lot of sense. David Schmitt of Breathe Carolina saw this whole thing going on and decided to speak up. He answered Senses Fail by questioning one of their lyrics as well. The response to that, is unknown to me. David's tweet all on his own seems to sum it up the best. "I love it how senses fail always finds a way to be in a battle with young bands like we all grew up on you guys stop hating." Feel free to check out Attila's new song, "Proving Grounds", and leave your own thoughts below. You can also read the full conversation via Alternative Press by clicking here, or read Immortal Music's thoughts on it by clicking here. We had a few things to say as well. A rumor sparked up the other day that Tyson Stevens, former singer of Scary Kids, Scaring Kids, has died. He recently turned 29 back in September, and was reportedly been found dead on October 21.
Details have not been given out, except he was found dead next to his girlfriend. She has supposedly taken to social media and stated the following. The original post has not been found by Immortal Music, so whether or not this was actually posted is unknown at the moment. “I know its been a long year and I tried my hardest to keep you happy and safe, I just hope you knew that,” reads part of the statement. “I love you so fucking much Ty. You will always be the one. And I will always be yours.” Tyson's current band, Coma Prevail, are the ones that confirmed this rumor by posting on Facebook, "Unfortunately the rumors are true. Out of respect for family we will post details soon. Thank you." Details might be coming soon, but right now, they are simply trying to look out for his family's best interest. Nick Jonas has released yet another new song that will be featured on his upcoming solo album. This one is called "Wilderness" and frankly, this one, much like "Chains" paints quite the picture of Nicholas. Does he realize the mental images he gives people of himself? Maybe that was the intention. Sex sells, especially when its coming from someone as beefed up as Nick Jonas, who has had die hard fans since he himself was a pre-teen. "Naked as the day we were born. Did you know we could feel like this? I will take your body." Anyone who thinks Nick is still the innocent little boy he always was portraited to be is dead wrong. All sexual references, and drool worthy mental images aside, the song is alright. If I'm perfectly honest, if it wasn't Nick Jonas performing it, I probably wouldn't have gotten past the first minute of the song, let alone the full 3:46. Curiousity is still high for his new album, and the lyrics have been pretty good on all of them, but the music throws me off. Perhaps its because I am used to the pop rock sound any Jonas brother has ever had. It might also just be because I have never been a big fan of this particular genre. Call it what you will. Maybe its hip hop? Maybe its pop? I don't know. Whatever it is, its not horrible, but I don't feel its using Nick's musicial talents fully. He could be doing a hell of a lot worse, but he could be doing better work as well. Nick Jonas, his second self titled album to ever be released comes out November 7. There will definitely be a review of it somewhere around its release date here on Immortal Music. Feel free to listen to the song below, and leave your thoughts on it. Shimon Moore, Sick Puppies lead singer has now decided to leave the band. There has yet to be any word on why not, or what else he is planning on doing. Hopefully there will soon be some information, but meanwhile, Emma and Mark has spoken up on the matter. They also are auditioning new singers, as well as working on new music.
Sick Puppies will continue on, just will be slightly different. Feel free to read Emma and Mark's statement on it below. "Sick Puppies are undergoing some exciting changes and evolving. Former member Shimon Moore is no longer with the band and is pursuing other endeavors. We are currently in the studio writing material for our upcoming studio album while auditioning new singers. As always, there is nothing we enjoy more than creating and performing music for our fans. Our passion and determination to create and share our music is stronger than ever. We cannot wait for Sick Puppies’ next chapter to unfold and for you all to be part of it. With respect and appreciation, Emma & Mark" Papa Roach has debuted the first song from their upcoming album, F.E.A.R! The song is called "Warrior" and is sure to be a hit. It starts off slightly different from their other music, and has almost an electronic feel to the beat. That quickly changes and it just gets awesome. This is a song that people will be cranking up for years to come in times of need. When they need the strength to push on through. The chorus says, "So shine your light, push your enemy back. When you're under attack, we'll protect you." Music is always there for you, this song reminds you of that with just some of its lyrics. Not to mention, the instrumentals are awesome! They really must play this one live, because it is guarenteed to be one of those songs that really get the crowd going. Papa Roach's eighth studio album, "F.E.A.R" will be released on January 27, 2015, and you can hear "Warrior" now! It is not currently available for purchase, but that will come soon enough.
